I was recently in Atlanta on business. this dinner was courtesy of one of the pharmacy's I use for my patients. it was a set menu - I choose the salmon which had mushrooms and thick pieces of bacon. it was pretty good, I don't see it listed on their regular menu though. for apps there was wood oven pizza, which was excellent, "small plates" of beets, butternut squash, leek and onion tartlets (my fav), bacon wrapped shrimp and salad. the dessert was their version of a kit kat, it was so rich, almost too rich to eat, but I managed :-)

If you're a fan of Brit Pop, Madchester, Mod than there's nowhere else you want to be than at Leisure the first Saturday of every month. You can expect all the tunes you have9had) in your own collection.  It's just great to hear them on a big sound system.  Morrissey, Pulp, James, Joy Division, Happy Mondays, yes and even Oasis(YAWN. So over them).  But they're the band you love to hate, no? Solid monthly that's been going on for years, with a solid scene too.  Makes for some great people watching. Lots of stylish eye-candy, 'crumpets' as it were : )

I have spent many a great night at Sutra lounge!! My ideal night out in Atlanta includes dinner at Fuego for delicious tapas, then next door to Sutra for some dancing and cocktails. Sutra has a hip atmosphere and a diverse crowd. the dance floor is huge and takes up 1/2 of the place! I am guilty of in the past of dancing on one of the center stage boxes on the dance floor for girls to shake it! hehe The staff is very friendly and the manager always remembers me when I show my face....it pays to be a regular:-) The drinks are made well and the selection of wine does not suck....which is a compliment for clubs in ATL!! They also have a cool patio for taking breaks from dancing out back complete with bar.
