by Heather J. on The Great American Music Hall puts on really fun shows. The last one I went to was Devendra Banhart on my birthday and he put on an absolutely perfect performance. I really like the atmosphere of the venue. It's super hipster but super fun. The location is right in the middle of downtown San Francisco so it's pretty easy to find a parking garage. I recommend getting to the show ahead of time, there's always a winding line down the street to get into the Music Hall. Tickets are pretty cheap and the drinks are cheap. Check this place out!
by sonya d. on Got here around midnight and for being an "off night", it was super fun! Maybe it wouldn't of been as cool if my friend hadn't of had bottle service and gotten us in for free- but who knows! There was good music, and it was a super fun spot to dance. My friend and I were slightly reminded of it being like a Vegas club, so it made it even more fun! I'll definitely come back again, but go earlier next time and get on the guestlist?
by Rory Muchmore on Sublime. King Cole Bar was one of the few places in the city where I could hear myself have real conversations, and without downing alcohol like a sponge. Every mouthful of free nuts (almond cashews macadamia you name it, definitely made up for the pricey drinks) sent my bubbly dignity to new heights of adulthood. The pomegranate martini kicked ass, otherwise I wouldn't have guessed the farting story in the mural within 3 minutes.
