Upstairs reeks with the smell of cigarettes. To get a sticky table for 2hours, you had to either buy 2 drinks or $30 minimum per person, so we decided on a table. We probably came here around 10:30PM, there wasn't a line YIPEE!!!! I guess it was too early to form a line. Well onto what we ordered...2 shirley temples, citrus twist, tropical royale, sex on the beach, ginger snap, 2 bubblicious (like the gum HAHA, yes I make myself laugh, you don't have to), a dozen oysters, shrimp cocktail, and strawberry fondue for 2. I'm not a drinker, so I can't say much about the drinks. But from what I had or tasted tonight...shirley temple tasted diluted, tropical royale tasted like Kerns (I'm pretty sure it was), and Ginger Snap really did taste like ginger snap. The strawberry fondue and shrimp cocktail were probably the best items...the chocolate for the strawberries were really sweet though. A couple of guys asked if people were sitting at the seat near us, we said no, so they came to talk to us. Being the antisocial person I am, it was just so...AWKWARD. Well...I wasn't really the one talking to them, but I was sitting the closest to them. I was so afraid that they'd ask for our numbers, good thing they didn't. I was trying to think of the rejection number was, but I don't know if off by heart, only because I would think I would never had to use it. I try to be as antisocial & standoffish as I can, so people won't talk to me. Downstairs, there is a club. My friend described it as the Flintstones type room. I would say it looked very cave and bedrock like. IT WAS SOOOOOO SMALL, like a small room, just jammed with people. I'm not claustrophobic, or maybe sometimes I am, but this place...TOO SMALL & WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE, I wouldn't make it out alive. 2 toilets for a bunch of girls, not ideal...10 girls in a small restroom... Oh yeah, we didn't reach the $150 minimum, but our waitress let it slide, so that was nice of her. I left $45, I can't remember what the total was...

This was my first time partying in Atlanta and I LOVED this place. There was a free event hosted by Bacardi = free drinks. It wasn't like a cheap open bar with watered down drinks for only 30 minutes. This open bar lasted throughout the whole party and there were 8 bars throughout the venue so you didn't have to get into a long ass line and get four drinks at once acting hella ghetto. The music in the Monte Carlo room wasn't on point though. It was a mix of super new songs that no one had heard on the radio yet and super old songs that people were sick of hearing. Hey Mr. DJ, put a record on that I can actually dance to!

Nightlife experience: Your typical Asian American hotspot for nightlife and entertainment- Get trashed, meet a few people, forget their names. Rinse and repeat at another generic asian joint with "hip" decor. As a San Franciscan, I believe I expected too much for New York. But lemme tell you, clubbing is the same everywhere in the world (be it Japan, SF, LA, Vegas, Europe) if you're talking about some mediocre to typically overhyped clubs. I can't really say the same about bars- they can be pretty diverse. Drinks? Fair. Since I have not tried the food there, i have no input. I'm not disappointed though- one can only expect so much from places like these. However, i'm going to file this as a last resort while im in NY.
