by Trent Fortis on meh, duvet's okay. i haven't been for a while because it's not really worth one of my precious few available nights out. which i guess pretty much says it all: it's an okay place with overpriced drinks and an iffy crowd and okay music. it's all just okay. the last time i was here, this guy would NOT leave me alone and then he almost got in a fist fight with my guy friend when my friend tried to tell him to stop bothering me. kind of skeeze. oh! also, they almost wouldn't give my credit card back one time. um, be careful. okay, i was giving this place 3 stars, but now that i've remembered all this stuff, i guess it's going back down to 2. sorry, duvet.

The drinks are expensive (of course they have always been, and I don't mind paying much for strong drinks) - but this might be a deal breaker for most I do miss the bathroom attendant, but I mean, do we really need someone to help us wash our hands . . . no The dance floor seems to get smaller and smaller every time i go, and that makes me sad, because boy do I love to dance. take those damned pod thingies out of the dance floor, and perhaps we will have more room to dance. I don't tink it is dark in Sutra, I actually think it's perfect. The layout is a little strange though. There is always a tight maneuver between the dance floor and the bar, and the bar and the bathroom . . . they should do something about that, like extend the bar or something. and last time i went, I didn't pay, so i can't comment on the cover being expensive, but having to pay when I have never paid before would really pissed me off. The thing that Sutra has going for it is that people of all shapes and sizes, color, and walks of life go there, and yet they are all hot, and that is wonderful lol. so i would recommend Sutra, because it is never empty and you will at least have a good time, and perhaps you will have a great time L)
by Roni R. on A few years ago this place would be so much fun -- after quite a long haitus, it seems that the Mayan shifted gears as far who it attracts. I found that most people were kind of pretentious about dancing -- I mean, come on ... it's dancing! Maybe I have a more laisse-faire attutude about dancing and letting loose but I found people here to be very hardcore. I get it, it's a sport -- but I'm in it to have fun and let loose. If I can learn a few steps along the way ... well, hey .. that's an added bonus! :-) The club itself is beautiful and love its architecture. I'll come back ... maybe w/friends. It really is a beautiful club. Oh, and don't go w/o calling beforehand ... one night they had kind of a metal head show (a Thurs) and it was a special event. So, yeah ... we stayed but it was odd b/c we were like the only two people who were not in all black and dark makeup. =P
