by braden k. on i don't like giving less than 4-star reviews. like any other spot in SF, cover was 20 after 11 because we missed guestlist. parking was a pain in the ass because its on broadway st. got inside and there were females galore.. then after about 45 mins the place was packed with fellas? smh. anyways, the drinks were strong enough and relatively cheap for a spot in SF on broadway... sutra closed down, I hope they don't take advantage of it and mark-up prices. the honeys were bangin, everyone we came with was getting their sweeerve on, but i don't remember anything special about the DJ spinning that night. for $20 cover, you can take your crew over and see some showgirls' skin if you know what i mean.
by Lisandra Rittenour on Recipe for instant amusement: 2 friends. 8 just-met, out-of-town Aussie colleagues. Great 80s music, neon bowling pins, and waitresses in ridiculous outfits...all at Bowlmor. Very random but lots of fun. It was $40 for the evening, plus drinks, which would be totally steep if it hadn't been on someone else's corporate card. So I had a ton of fun, but I won't be rushing back every week. Would be great fun for a bday party, or I'd try the blacklight, late-night bowling Monday night, just for another oddly amusing evening.
