If you care to read on....but I'd save my time and find a desert place that wants and cares about it's customers. May 11, 2010 at around 11:30 p.m. My friend and I came from the Giants game. We took a cab just to check out this cool place. It looked really, really nice inside with leather seating, chill lighting, and a roaring fire. But, there was no one inside but a woman behind the bar. rateclub indicated the place was open until 2am but I thought I might be mistaken. "Are you guys open?". I said. "well kinda.". The woman said. I thought they might be closing because in San Diego, I've enttered bars n restaurants that have open doors but the employees are just chilling out but service has been discontinued for the night. "Well, are you open or closed?" I say. "Well, you're standing here, aren't you?" she says. "In San Diego sometimes the doors r open but the place is closed for business." I say. "well this is san Francisco!" she says. I put the menu down and we left. Don't come here.
by C L. on Went there for the first time, with all the hype from the previous reviews, I was excited about the place. It's a very nice atmosphere with jazz music playing from the back. We were there when they have the happy hour, so we got our drinks in a decent price, $5 to $6. Our orders: Sweet potatoes: crisp and tasty.....just like eating chips Homemade sauce: ketchup and another one.....not all that mussels: the portion was generous...but was not that fresh. entree: Lamb Sausage: MUST ORDER.....it was superb ravioli: good dessert: lavender panna cotta: Different, but good...... overall the experience at Coda was good...around 10:00pm, they have a live band and the place transform into a dance floor.
