If you like GoldBar then you're desperate for attention and lacking in taste.  I guess that's why it's a New Money-larva spot in the first place: they know just what their clientele demands! The drinks are overpriced even for Manhattan, the service is laughable as well as uneducated about the products they sell, the Sunday night DJ (who was the whole point of my being there in the first place) needs some work even if the sheer breadth of tracks was solid, and they allow people to smoke cigarettes inside.  Where's my double thumbs-down emoticon?! The architecture IS pretty sweet though... But hey, if you all want to go there then I won't stop you.  In fact, I'd _prefer_ you go to GoldBar so I won't have to put up with you at whatever bar I actually end up at.  There - now we're ALL happy.

As you enter Tangerine you get the feeling that you're either entering a nightclub or being transported to Morocco. I started with a Roman cocktail and was debating whether I would ask them to remove the basil, because that just seemed weird to me.  The waitress recommended that I trust her and keep it and if I didn't like it, I could get something else to drink.  Well of course she was right, it was delicious!  I had two of them. As we moved on to the entrees, I ordered the duck another friend ordered the shrimp & scallops and the third dish was the rosemary sirloin. The duck was the winner at the table!  It was seared just right, and was tender and delicious.  The sirlion dish just couldn't compete with the other two dishes and was our least favorite. Service was great and the drinks, food and decor was also great.  The only drawback was that I felt as if we were sitting in kids chairs becuase they are so low.  All in all, I would return for another great meal.

Oh, the drunken nights at Busby's. Always a good time. Free pool, Tuesday Trivia night, and rockin' happy hour specials. The standard array of liquors (sadly, no pisco), but more beers on tap than the average place. Also, they've usually got a couple waitresses doing circuits to keep things flowing while playing pool, shuffleboard, ping pong, skee ball, hoops, or deer hunter. Also, if you are feeling particularly energetic they've got a separate room (pretty large, too) for the dancing. Plus, great servers (Sarah is an absolute doll) doing circuits through the game rooms, so you don't even have to interrupt your game to keep the booze flowing. Did I mention the free pool?
