by J B. on I wish someone could explain to me how i ended up in this hotel while in LA on a business trip??? bad idea! Couldn't sleep because of the crazy party-goers yelling and wohoooo-ing in the parking lot which my room overlooked, tiny bathrooms, no counter space, etc... i wish i would have stayed here during my younger years ( not that I'm THAT old or anything, but i definitely feel old with all these early 20 somethings around dressed like they are ready for a britney spears video and I'm here dressed for a meeting!) Got a chance to have some drinks at the Tropicana pool bar, it was very nice, great drinks and was totally a party scene, but I was in work mode so I really couldn't enjoy much. I wasn't impressed at all with the rooms, they were kinda dirty so i felt like I really didn't want to touch anything euuww.. The location is great though! Your steps away from the Chinese Theatre, The Kodak Theatre and the mall.
by Quinn Vega on The acoustics in this place are great - I never feel like I'm completely destroying my hearing like I do when I go to a place like the Echo, for instance, and more importantly, the music sounds really good. For that alone I give it 5 stars. More positives: -The crowd when I've gone doesn't talk over the music. -The times that I've been there the staff has been fine. -What I've had of the food was not bad at all. Go Bordello!
