WOW, just WOW. I did not prepare myself for this evening at Supperclub.  I wish I did. Went there with my BF and had a groupon for dinner for 2. made reservations with Anna and got there at 7:30pm as they had a pre-fixe menu and sat everyone about the same time in different sections of the bed upstairs or downstairs. we checked in and was asked to wait at the bar for a bit.  ordered 2 drinks...it was OK and was asked for our credit card information so that all that we ordered will be placed on there or we can pay by cash later. we stood there for a bit and was not approached by anyone to seat us so i had to ask the bartender and finally had someone to walk us upstairs and had us seated with a couple to our left a a party of 4 to our right.  quite amusing as everyone was dolled up for Halloween with when it's not halloween yet.  there's a guy in fishnet in a cage hanging from the ceilings in heels dancing...why not :) we had a little TV dinner tray in front of us for our food and drinks. quite amusing place. during dinner, there's performancing downstairs but we would have to roll out of our bed to go see.  food was eh?  not memorable at all...only the dessert.  then again, we finished a bottle of wine in there too so anything sweet would have been awesome by then. the first dish was salmon served in a dog bowl.  i paid to be served in a dog bowl...hmmm, not if i was happy with that. all the other dishes were in regular dishes/bowl - thank good. we did use the groupon which i paid about $70 for 2 dinner. somehow, the bill came out to be about $130 in addition.  2 drinks + a $28 bottle of wine and a $7 bottle of gassy water + $40 tip (already added to the bill) + $9 (SF Health also added to the bill). mini orgy going on around us...and not sure if it was worth all that $ I paid for 2 of us to have dinner BUT it was entertaining at the same time. it's definitely a one and DONE and will not need to go back again.

This place blew up on friday - great crowd, perfect vibe - the DJ really played to the crowd. I hadn't been here in years, but what a huge improvement. The inside looked great, security was tight. Good night all around - tried to get a table but the place was sold out, next time I guess we better call ahead. Hope these guys keep it up!

The design is ugly 80s in my opinion. The drinks way overpriced for a club of this caliber. $14 Johnny Black on the rocks single. The crowd isn't typical Hollywood, it's typical wanna-be anti-Hollywood I'm here for the music crowd. I wish I had something positive to say about the place. There's a parking lot that charges $10 across the street (that's convenient right?), a newsstand close by for cigarettes (again convenience).
