by Sarah Z. on I'm not sure why everyone insists on the coming here. DJ's aren't that great. People aren't that hot. Nothing is special. Now that I've tried it three times and haven't had fun any of those attempts it's fair to say it sucks, right? RIGHT. I want my $30 bucks back.
by Cherilyn Czernik on Since Jet was half the size, I was hoping that Trigger wouldn't feel like a sardine can like it's late-sister. I had some pretty high expectations especially since the renovation seemed like an eternity. My friends and I went during the grand opening weekend. The line was long but bearable since it was moving pretty fast. The cover is still pretty much the same price it was in the past, $5. So right when I stepped inside I thought, "WOW, this place really screams LA." The lighting, the pop-house music, the furniture...everything down to the LA inspired tacky bondage-esque themed costumes that the dancers were wearing. The pros: Even though the place was still packed like how it was in the past, atleast there's a working A/C. There's also a second floor where you can look down at the dance floor and get away from the crowd. The bathrooms are beautiful and unlike Trigger's grimy late-sister, there's someone there to help direct people to the stalls and maintain the place. The cons: The only big complaint I have is how they handled their dirty dishes. So when someone was done with their drink, the bartenders would toss the ice away and then dip the cup in what seemed like a sink of soapy water and then to another sink of "hot" water (hot enough for the guy to comfortable stick his whole hand inside). After, the cup would just be piled upside down onto other "clean" cups. It doesn't sound as disgusting but if you actually saw this nanosecond "cleaning" process, you would be completely turned off. I mean, I know that in other bars they would atleast put their glasses in a machine. I don't know, it's not cute how they wash their cups especially with SWINE FLU around. +2, for effort. Also, can you fix the music? Jet used to always play really good songs.
by Carlie Thuss on Asshole bouncer alert! I can't stand any place that won't let you head outside and come back. I was trying to make sure my friend was safe and in a cab and had to do this from behind the rope because I had other buddies inside. All I got back from the bouncers was "In or out" again and again. After a 20 dollar cover and 7 dollar drinks ud think there would be a lil more decency.
