by Yousif S. on Went in on a "Friday Daze" night, in which people over 21 get in for a dollar. Line outside wasn't too bad. Waited only 5 minutes. Got in, coat check was 4 bucks, which was okay. After checking in my coat, I went to all the different dance rooms they had. Every room was playing the wackest techno music I ever heard. I have never heard such horrible music in my life. They played one good song, which was a song by Pitbull, which was btw the only hip hop song really.Then they ruined the song by techno remixing it very poorly, not once, not twice, but three times...in a row. Now don't get me wrong I'm down with techno, but their music was just SOOOO BAD. To make it even worse, this place was such a SAUSAGE FEST. No lie the ratio of guys to girls was around 5-1. It also didn't really help that some guy was squeezing some nasty fat chick's breasts on stage the whole night. Disgusting. I highly doubt I will ever go back there again.
by Sandra Howerton on Friday Night Swing provides a wonderful introduction to Lindy Hop. I was born with zero dance talent but even I learned to do a decent swingout the first night. Autumn and Christine are fantastic teachers and you pretty much can't help but have fun while learning from them. Try it. You'll like it.
