Although Medjool is in a questionable neighborhood, it's a great nightclub venue.  I love the super-high ceiling, the terrace that overlooks the street, and the view from the roof.  I particularly appreciate the heated lamps on the rooftop that make the experience more pleasant on colder nights.  You would never think that a moderately-sized building like Medjool could have a view that gorgeous, but it DOES! The terrace on the middle floor is great for a breath of fresh air during your dance floor break, and it doesn't take too long to get drinks. The music is good, their sound system is great, and the bottle service areas are nice and comfy.  Aside from a lack of street parking and being in the Mission district, I have no other complaints.

Good little place and the drinks are poured strong. I don't quite understand the allure of people waiting an hour just to get in to this place but its not bad if you're in a pinch for a place to dance in the highlands. Its worth noting that I went for a disco night and they didn't play much disco at all and if you're not a fan of second hand smoke, you might want to skip this place. It gets pretty gross in there.

Good time! Make sure to bring cash because it's the only payment accepted for the alcohol. Some bartenders seem to make stiffer drinks than others, so if you find a good one, keep going back to him. I would like to go back in a few months.
