by nicole z. on I hate to do this. I really hate to do this...especially because this is my first review in 2011. But it was THAT bad! I have been going to golden temple for many years, but mostly just for new years and valentines day, but I did that every year. This year I walked out and will not be back. Reservations ran late. Yes, menu prices are raised but that's to be expected in Boston on new years...but golden temple really let their popular demand get to their head. The appeal to me of golden temple on new years and valentines day is the commotion they have toward them. Included in their inflated prices are special glasses to take home, glow pins, roses for ladies, various forms of entertainment, ice sculpture in front, etc. They really go all out. However this year, they neglected to inform me that none of this would be happening during my 8:00 reservation, it would happen after10:30 at which point there is a $55.00 per person minimum. When we realized that, that was disappointing but being that it was new years and finding somewhere else to go would be difficult with no reservations, we decided to wait for our late reservation. While waiting for our seat the hostess also let us know there would be a limit of 1 hr to 1.5 hr max seat time. WHAT? Ok whatever. We still decided to wait.We get seated and begin placing our order. "chicken wings--- well done please" waitress: "sorry no substitution" okay well that's not a substitution.....let's just say it was downhill from there when they said leaving out oyster sauce for a shellfish allergy would be a substitution. After going here so many years, making a reservation, waiting beyond the time of our reservation, to be treated so rudely, on new years was quite the disappointment!!!! If you don't mind this type of poor business conduct then come here. However, i highly recommend going elsewhere if you have any type of food allergy as this has been an issue in the past.
by JR on The ambiance inside is not very traffiky but occasionally during the week the girls tend to sit around that's how slow it can get. Its not a topless or fully nude but the girls are friendly and do get up on stage with their bikinis, they go around just like anywhere else for their $1 and off they go. Lap dances go for $20 and you can also buy them drinks and they will drink. Its ladi back place if you just want to talk and lay back
by Larry C. on at a Digg event... "Son, there are no ins and outs" It was 8:45pm. For a corporate event (with no food!), there are no ins and outs?? Note to the MEETING PLANNERS the rest of conference season, if you must book at Mezzanine, negotiate 'ins and outs'.
by Krystina Guyott on Nothing completes a night of drunken debauchery quite like watching a dozen authetic Irishmen dance around like fools and instantly turn on one another in a down and dirty bar fight. I've seen blood and bruises on more than one occasion here, and hey, I'm all for being the spectator. That aside, the DJ plays quite an eclectic mix on the weekends--from Madonna to Sean Paul to U2--and the drinks are made pretty well, from what I remember (which isn't much, honestly.) a real Irish bar with a decent amount of space to dance in the back and seats all around.
