We had the $120 omakase and our list of dishes sound pretty consistent with everyone else's experience. While a pleasant experience, nothing was served that pushed it over the 5* top that it would have taken for a top tier, completely satisfying, rolling out of the restaurant feel. It's a very well-run restaurant with a fun atmosphere and good food. However, the one glitch in our meal was my husband's lobster which came out over-cooked. He was trying to figure out why I pulled my tail out of the shell so easily and why mine looked so soft while he had use use his steak knife to saw away at his. To their credit, they quickly took his back to the kitchen and brought him a brand new dish shortly afterward that was perfectly cooked. Still, a mistake like that shouldn't be happening at a restaurant like this. Our first dish of o-toro was definitely the highlight of the night though, which probably lead to some of the downhill experience. We commented that if they served that dish last, we probably would have left happier diners. :)

I came here first randomly a few years back after being thrown out of some over-priced bar/lounge down the street by the Fire Marshall. After ogling the hot firemen for about 15 minutes or so, my friends and I decided to walk down the street to find another place and one of them said "SOB's!" I danced so much my feet thought I was trying to murder them the next morning. I've come back several times and I've always had a good time - lively crowd, great live music and lots of dancing. Only downside are the creepy, creepy Webster Hall-types that lurk in the corners and then try to whisk you away to dance when they've gauged appropriate drunkenness. Go in a group and you can avoid them.
