Lovely fresh food and service. Definitely get the poke and first courses. Main course had way too much garlic (scampi and angel hair pasta) but apart from that it was brilliant.

Overrated. I finally got up the motivation to make the 16 mile drive to Delux. Went for a late lunch on Saturday. Whilst good, I was not wowed by any means. I had the delux Burger. First off I ordered my burger medium, which apparently means medium well at Delux because it was cooked and labeled as such. This is not such a big deal for me but I wouldn't expect to get orange juice if I ordered lemonade. Secondly, they pre-mix their cheese so you can't subtract the Bleu cheese and get only the Gruyere. Ok, I'll do pre-mixed cheese, but why?. Service was fine and not much of a wait for food. Burger comes out and the amount of grilled onions on it I would classify as insufficient. Taste, meh, it's just a burger to me. What I have learned recently is that I prefer thin double sloppy burgers like those from Lenny's as opposed to burgers served up at places like Delux (and Stax). Since they have cupcakes I must partake. I got two to go. Black & White and Raspberry (flavor of the day). Cracked into them an hour later and again, no wow. Frosting was tasty, but the cake part was a bit dry. I'd pay $3 for one quarter of a Cupcake Jones cupcake (Portland, OR) before I pay $3 for a Delux cupcake again. Pricewise, also disappointing. $9.50 for a burger with no side? Cmon! Take that hokey wasted beet/carrot garnish and make it into a coleslaw at least. $6 for a side of French Fries? I can get 2lbs of deliciousness for $2.50 at Islands. They're also very wasteful when it comes to their ketchup/zesty sauce for French Fry dipping. My girlfriend and I definitely didn't need one tray each. Of what was given to us, more than 3/4 was thrown away. I had higher hopes for Delux, makes me a bit sad, I really wanted to be wowed by this place.
