Basically, you're paying to have rather expensive drinks on what appears to be a derelict ship (the ship is defintely sweet, take a tour when you're sober, its much harder when you're intoxicated and it bobs up and down)...$8 a corona? $40 a pitcher of sangria? (they aren't even that large or good) Plenty of people from the office have been there and raved about it, but apart from the novelty of the boat nothing was special. Its very laid back and food is up-scale theme park fare.

Fun hidden gem in the Tenderloin.  Stayed here last year and when you go through the gate you're in a 60's era of Tiki retro vacationland.  The rooms are fun yet on the seedy side.  The pool however is dazzling!  Sparking clean and blue with great tiling as I recall.   We walked over to GAMH for a concert and stopped at a great Vietnamese dive for din-di on the way.  On the way back I was glad that I had a tall male companion and I had my mace ready just in case.  I loved the cont. breakfast even though my friend wanted to go out to eat so I stuffed my purse with a few goodies for later.   We wanted to stay there again on the 25th of this month but it's gay pride week and there's a 2 night minimum all around the city!

I have been to Temple twice.  Im not sure if that gives me the proper cred to review it or not but I will anyway. I loved the place.  I saw BT the first time I went and had a great time.  I cant think of any major problems with the place. It was crowded both times but I had a blast. The drinks were a bit on the pricey side but I have yet to find a bar at that scale that has great drink prices. I shook my groove thang in the r&b room or as I called it, the white room.  I was drunk and did my one hand on the beer, one hand in the air dance.  Not cool. I liked the different music choices in the place.  It seemed like there was something for everyone. The place had a good feel to me and thats what matters most.  The bathrooms are scattered so chart them early as you will drink more and forget how to find them. Trust me. BT did a great show.  Yeah, its old news. The second time was for no special show, just to go.  I had a great time as well.  I would go back again, it was well worth the money spent.
