This place was a little better than I expected, all though I came for a special event so it would probably have been different had I came on a normal night. I like the separate floors and multiple bar setup. I also liked the outside patio area. Music was meh. The whole place kinda feels cheap and old though. And there were a ton of bouncer-dudes huddled together, it was weird. Unless you're here for something special, I'd try another place. This was nothing memorable.

I went here twice in the last week for birthday celebrations. Both times I got the Pasta deal where I order one to eat in the restaurant and one to go. The first time I got the Gnocchi, which I found to be a bit too doughy for my taste and not enough sauce. The second time I got the Alfredo and added shrimp for $3. The Alfredo was delciious and I would definitely order it again. My friend ordered the Ziti which I tried and it was very hearty (definitely a manly dish). I got the lasagna and the angel hair with sausage to go. For dessert we got free lemon cookies as a birthday present and we ordered mini tiramisu, creme brulee, chocolate cake, and cheesecake. The cheesecake, tiramisu, and creme brulee were delicious. The food itself is 4 stars, but I had to take away 2 stars due to the rude service. -1 star due to the disorganized hostess. At one point while we were waiting for a table, the hostess told my sister that there were only 2 parties before us. As we sat and waited, we saw at least 6 parties get a table before us. When I went to ask the hostess about it, she only replied that we would get a table soon and would not discuss why we were misinformed.

I totally did not even see the door of the main entrance here...it was camouflaged. I feel foolish. The ambiance of this place is nice. It is pretty bustling and lively but not to the point where it's impossible to talk to someone. There also seems to be some hot shots who go here. Some guy behind us kept having visitors go over and take pictures with him. Another guy was dining with 3 ladies. As for our table...not to nitpick but just to put this out there. I don't really like being seated in a table for 4 when I'm dining with one other person. The first thing that came out was some slices of Naan with a Yogurt dipping sauce. The Yogurt reminded me of sour cream but it went really nicely with the Naan, which had a good crisp to it. We both went with the Dine LA set courses starting with the Wagyu Tataki and Sweet Corn Soup with Pork Belly. The tataki tasted a bit like a beef jerky and wasn't seared like I expecting. The corn soup was probably the best part of this whole meal. So tasty with little buried treasures of pork belly. Next came the Alaskan halibut and Jidori Chicken. The halibut was on the bland side but the chicken was nice. The chicken also came with a pot that had rice and more chicken inside - nice bonus! Our dinner was finished off with the dark chocolate cake with peanut brittle and cup of popcorn ice cream with passion fruit foam. Both were more fun than good to eat but not too bad. The ice cream cup looked like the result of a 5th grade science experiment. It was fun eating the foam because it was like tasting flavored air. This is a nice place to hang out and the food is decent. Wish I didn't have to pay so much for valet...
