by Marie M. on I thought this place was an okay place. The music was alright, and the drinks were around the $8-10 range. I don't think I would necessarily come here again. Maybe it was the night I came but it was sort of an awkward set up. However, I could maybe give it another try ...who knows.
by Shaunte Respes on Went here last night for the Jay Sean/Baby Bash concert thrown by WILD 94.9. Line was soooo freaking long. Apparently, the bouncers got angry at the people in line, and wouldn't let them through. Luckily, we won tickets so we got in for free, and pretty fast at that. When we walked in, the decor was beautiful. Bartenders were all assholes though. Especially this one guy upstairs with tattoos all over his arms. The bartender MICHELLE though, was really sweet. She was a bit upset that people were stiffing her, so we hooked her up. She in return, hooked US up. Now that's what I call service. Bathrooms were absolutely horrendous. It looked like people had thrown up everywhere and clogged the toilets. Water all over the floor was NOT safe, there were no bathroom attendants, and it was just overall, VERY irresponsible of the club. I was highly disappointed because these are the same owners of Club Aura in Pleasanton, and that place is always spotless. Some girl broke her leg on the dance floor. There were glass shards all over the ground as well. Awkward. BUT JAY SEAN MADE IT ALL BETTER! Love him. Overall okay night, but the "no in-and-out privaledges" really pissed me off. Good thing I didn't pay. After all that hype, Ruby Skye really disappointed. Hopefully they are better on another night, but I don't plan to revisit anytime soon.
by Renae Mapps on there are dive bars, and then there are dive bars... interesting how so many "dive bars" are frequented by the hipsters nowadays. i mean, once hipsters move in, doesn't it stop being a true dive bar? yes? no? with that said, clooney's is a true dive bar cuz it's really the only bar in frisco where the clientele intimidates and scares the geebuz out of me. no hipsters. no yuppies. no hippies. no wannabes... just straight up hardened professional drinkers and a few gangstas. yup, 100% pure, undiluted, unadulterated, unsweetened intimidation indeed. ergo, i may not go back to clooney's again, but you should go.......and prove that you really love dive bars!
