by Karren Stinnett on So the night was horrible. The promoter gave us a table next to the bacon wrapped hot dog stand which is worst table you could ever imagine. It's a table out of nowhere, and the lighting is so bright it doesn't feel like your actually inside the club. We asked to changed tables 10,000 times however they claimed the whole club was booked when 40% of the tables were empty. So as they were making us wait for another table, the bouncer came in and asked us for $100 for cover charge or get out. He was the rudest bouncer I have ever met. So as we got kicked out, we had to go back in line all over again to get our table. They finally gave us another table if we bought 2 bottles. So heck, we're already at the club and figured it would be a waste of time to go club hopping. So this is the WORST PART. Not only did I pay $1000 for the table for 7 people who cant drink much alcohol, shortly after we were kicked out because my friend threw up. We didn't even get to finish our liquor! I'm a 100 lb asian girl, and as I was trying to stop the bouncers from kicking my friends out, they socked me in the face and threw me down by the neck. I ended up with a swollen face, bloody nose, swollen jaw and lips, and bruises everywhere. How could a 250+ pound man hit a girl like that! One of the bystanders recorded everything on video, however, she was forced to leave as the police showed up shortly after. That's how I feel about this place after a few experiences here...I have been dying to review this place...and not for lack of excitement thankyouverymuch. Yes, I've been forewarned that it was a Korean club. So unusual, I've never heard of such a club deemed as KOREANS only. Well....I'd have to say that I totally felt like I traveled to Korea for a night trip...cuz' the place is no joke, almost a 100% ASIAN only. Most identifiably Koreans of course. For a Friday night, the line was unusually long. Even I have never seen such a line NOT move for the past 20-30 minutes. Luckily, Asian stereotypes exist, as ladies have their own line and did NOT have to wait. We were trying to be nice with our fellow mates..but it got so cold at one point. Sorry fellas. I LOVE being a girly girl. :) Circle definitely jammed packed the damn place. Safety hazard? Questionable. I don't know what the capacity is, but people need to start caring. I need my own breath and dance space for the love of BUDDHA.... I should have asked if they'd let me dance on stage by the pole. I surely, would have probably had a better time. Overall, I wanted to give this place ONE star...but seems like i have a DECENT ok time here...so i won't be that harsh....uh, will i be back? Probably not, unless i was kicked, dragged & forced. ;)

I've been curious about Shiner's Saloon since it's been under construction, and finally got to check it out for a co-worker's birthday happy hour the other day. Upstairs they seem to have all of the Shiner Beers on tap, including the tasty Shiner Black Lager, and a full array of all the other alcoholic beverages of choice as well. It's a great space, very large, and airy, with tons of great Shiner Beer touches, especially the awesome bottle chandelier that greets you in the front doorway. The walls are dotted with pieces of brewery and the town of Shiner memorabilia. Warning: watch out for the swinging iron saloon doors, which weigh a friggin ton, and I'm sure are going to prevent many a drunk from getting out!
