So I guess this is the rating you give when you have experienced better...I have experienced better...my FIRST time at Tah Cha was amazing, 2nd sub-subpar, 3rd time supposed to be the tie breaker and sadly it was worse What was so amazing the first time was 1) the service...the most boisterous young woman greeted me and my friend, chatted it up with us not only about the amazing teas they had to offer but just about life, shooting the breeze 2) my masala chai was great, i asked for it sweetened and then had to ask for it sweetened a little more (i have a terrible sugar tooth) and it was perfect, perfect amount of milk (as chai should always have) and perfect amount of sweetness and great service, a man with a distinguished goatee had made my tea as I was talking to the woman. 2nd time around, no fun greeting, my masala chai came with no milk in it, i had to ask for it, but the guy was nice about packing me up some sugar granules to go, i was more disappointed because i had gone with a friend to whom i raved about the place and she gave me a sideways glance of disappointment as we walked out the door 3rd time, maybe they were overwhelmed with some orders they had, the girl had a little bit of attitude, when i said i wanted milk she asked if i meant a latte or tea with milk, i said well it's chai it's supposed to have milk....and milk it she did, i took my not so sweet opaque milk back to my desk with leaky tea bag (tea bag was NOT leaky the first time around when goatee man made my tea) sigh...it may be a couple of months until i go back to tah cha or perhaps i will just wait for the next wednesday i can go when i hope the same staff will be attending to me, pretty much i would give the place 4/5 stars if they all took lessons on tea preparation and customer service from the people who served me my first day there until then i'll be sitting at my desk with some tazo tea and a hot pot

I wish I could give this place zero stars, or delete it completely from rateclubs, and from NYC as well. I lived in NYC for 2.5 years and loved nearly every minute of it.  It's a fantastic city full of great food, great places, and great people. Nothing about "Park" meets that description. I went three times, once for lunch, unremarkable food, once for dinner, not tasty with *terrible* service, and once for a party for my friend where it took hours to get a drink and everyone acted as though everyone else was in their way.  What a miserable, pretentious place. If you want to experience bad food, a worse place, and some of the worst people in NYC, head to Park for the evening. I wish I could get those hours of my life back, but since I can't, hopefully I can save you from wasting yours.

Dallas as it once was would garner 5 stars, but sadly, issues with the TABC have caused a number of the club's best features to go the way of the dodo. Once upon a time, there was a "Wine Me, Dine Me, 69 Me" night on Wednesdays, which features 69 cent beer and well drinks til 10pm and 1.69 drinks thereafter. If you weren't there by 8pm, you weren't getting a table, and by 9pm, the line was well out the door. Even folks who couldn't stand country music would make their way to Dallas on Wednesday. Over time, it became common to see someone at the store or the gas station and say to yourself, "Where do I know her/him from....?....." only to see them on Wednesday at Dallas and say, "Ah ha!" The dance floor was always full and the rest of the club was packed. It was usually a good idea to invest in a fresh beer on the way to the restroom just so you didn't get thirsty fighting the crowd to get there. Furthermore, the staff was (and still is) attentive and fast, both of which are greatly appreciated by the bar crowd. The aforementioned spat with the TABC - wherein bartenders regularly being cited for over-serving patrons and the police were laying in wait for people to drive off at 2 a.m. so they could arrest them for DWI - drove off a lot of regulars and took a lot of the shine off of the diamond that is Dallas nightclub. However, recent marketing efforts show that Dallas - always proclaiming itself as "A Two-Step Above the Rest!" - won't be felled so easily. They've been in business since Ronald Reagan was a Governor, so I imagine they'll be around a bit longer. Austin is the better for it.
