Fela Kuti's music is inspirational...and it makes you want to get out and do something!!! say something!!! fight back against whatever crappy government/poilticians are ruling wherever you live!...This musical takes you through some important stages in his life and along the way..... you are asked to get up out of your seats..... interact with everyone around you.....as you are in his club you know... "The Shrine"... There are even bartenders walking around that will make you mixed drinks :)...... This show is full of energy!!! and I love African dancing...being that I've been taking classes for over 15 years....so its great to attend a show..where the women are dancing full out!!! no holding back.... everything shaking...the way it supposed to be!!...Nothing is watered down in this show!.... The decoration of the theatre is colourful and alive!.... Everyone that I talked to after said they were thoroughly moved....and they can't wait to come back... The music is Amazing!!!! I used to see Anitabales at SOB"s all the time...back in the day...so its great to see them in this production!! I can't wait to go and see Fela!! ....again...and again.... its one of those shows that you can't just see once..... Go!! you will not be disappointed!!!!
by Jamel O. on This place is a cool bar. They have a soccer (foosball) table and a nice back room. I once saw two people gettin it on back there...I fled...Not that watching isnt cool...but I am a hater..I cant even watch porn. Why should I be happy you are getting some when I am not? Exactly...screw you... They have some decent wings as well and during specials they have some decent pitchers you can order...
