Came here for a table reservation w/ nice ratio of girls and guys. My last buddy wasn't allowed in because he was wearing sneakers. I asked the guard why he allowed me in (as I was wearing sneakers) and not my friend. The guard said my friend's sneakers were too casual. Ok fair enough, he goes to my car and gets my dress shoes (I left them in my car since I had to get re-soled). Even though my shoes were one size too big (ladies, take notice), my friend put them on and the host let him in. The music was ok, but when you play 4 Lady Gaga songs in the span of an hour, I am going to lose my attention and patience for the dance floor. So, hung out in the patio area and bought some drinks. The drinks were weak. I don't mind spending $$$ for drinks, but you better hire bartenders with a heavy hand. I started buying doubles (knowing full well I'm going to have a ridiculous tab). Decor is nice, but I wouldn't go back. Too stuffy and the people are not who I want to spend my weekends with.
by Gaston Liddle on By far my favorite restaurant in all of atlanta! I haven't been back since it burnt down from the fire. However, I also don't live in atlanta anymore so, haven't had an occasion to go! Ok, so you get there and walk the plank over a moat filled with alligators to reach the pirate ship which you can be seated in, or above, or in a little pirate town...oh my! on the ship there is a live jazz band - quite atmospheric! Once seated enjoy tasty alcoholic beverages before the pots come out. Then its on to fondue - melted cheese you own me! The traditional cheese is the best...with bread, tomatoes, etc. Then when you've eaten enough cheese you think you could explode the meat course comes out - delicious - with complimentary dipping sauces. Don't expect dessert fondue if you didn't order it in advance - they are serious about their chocolate fondue and start making it a day prior. I just love this place! it's expensive but so worth it! it's such a treat! My most memorable experience of my handful of times spent here was my 19th birthday - probably my favorite birthday meal ever!
by Wilmer Debacker on Ended up here after a great night at Madame X's Reggae night and it just wasn't up to standards of a good night club. I found that the majority of the women in here were on the childish side, the prices were not right and this place obviously caters to a second tier of celebrity that has to pay to be somebody, instead of getting paid to be somebody. I have heard better things about Cielo, but I don't think i would go back anytime soon, one of the only good things about the night was the people that I went with and we were able to create our own party within the club. A couple attractions that may be helpful, they have a smoking area that is outside, the bathrooms as well as the staff and service is A+ and the music is decent, especially the live sets.
