Before my usual review categories here, i'd like to write an open note to all the idiots that rate places like this and others with 1 or 2 stars cause they couldn't get in or had issues getting in... a few points about this.. 1. If you show up at 1130pm, do NOT complain about getting in. Same if your a group of dudes bigger than 2. 2. If you have a group of 10 girls and can't get in, you guys probably aren't as hot as you think you are or you're showing up past midnight. 3. If you ran a trendy night club, how would you run it?? would it be first come first serve?? let everyone in regardless of how they are dressed, whether or not they are male/female, good looking/not, all of it?? ya, have fun losing money and having a ghetto sword fight of a club that'll close inside of 6 months.  Lets be honest here, these clubs are run correctly.. they want a good looking nicely ratio'd crowd cause that's what you come to a club like this for. PERIOD. Call it elitist, call it unfair, fuck you, life's not fair and favors better looking more well heeled people. deal with it. 4. If you don't like the hollywood crowd, quit wasting my time giving a place a crap review and... oh ya, stop going to hollywood. Idiots. okay, on to my review. GETTING IN: I'll be sure to update this when i come back with myself and another dude, but came with a girlfriend and was in within 2 minutes, no problem. came around 1040 or so... place opens at 1030 i guess. the place is MASSIVE which probably makes it easier to get in i'd imagine. THE CROWD: Amazing.  VERY talented.  VERY good looking.  Quite varied as well with regards to races and the like.  Just outstanding. And oddly not quite as skanky as some other hollywood places are.  Perhaps the hamptons vibe of the place makes people dress a little different when they go here?? Either way, just an amazing crowd. THE CLUB: WOW.. just WOW.  Not QUITE as slickly pulled off as MyHouse, but certainly MUCH bigger, more varied, very open feeling, just a massive place.  In particular one cool area (as long as you can handle some cigarette smoke) is a large area that has the feeling of being enclosed but is actually open air (there is a grid roof of sorts consisting of wood beams).  It contains a lot of tables as well as this neat little pond of sorts that certainly adds to the place.  Either way, just huge club, NEVER an issue getting a drink due to 3 (maybe 4) different easy access bars with very attractive bar staff.  Again though, just a great layout with a few different vibes within and just never a packed feeling.  Also, normally I don't mention music, but the DJ that night (a sat) was great.  A very nice/well mixed range of top 40/light techno, just what you'd expect from a beach-y feeling place in the summer. Great stuff. OVERALL:  Just an amazing place.  Can't really think of a downfall at all other than the somewhat out there location (Cahuenga north of Hollywood).  A great time is guaranteed once your past the ropes. Do not miss this one.

Oh yeah we had family in town and also had to spend time with some friends the "Lady K" hadn't seen in a while.  What a hoot. We didn't tell anyone what "type" of place we were going to dinner at except that it was Asian fusion. Well it took the "Lady K's" dad all of about 3 minutes to get the joke and he just gave me a knowing smile that it was all good. And it was! So you dont really go here for the food but for the entertainment but the fact that the food is pretty tasty is a bonus in my book. Go with a group, eat and drink and then head downstairs to the club to dance the calories away. Enjoy!

i normally frequent places where there is no cover but i will gladly pay cover for bOb's for the crowd and the music there. one of the only places where the dj is awesome at playing throwback hiphop from when i was growing up. my friend and i always have a competition to recall what year we heard a particular song and a point in time that we associate it with (i.e. 7th grade school dance). it's always a good time when my friends and i are at bOb's and when it gets too crowded, there are many other places nearby to head to.
