by Cristobal T. on This place is alright. They played alright music when we went on a Tuesday night. Alcohol seemed a little pricey for a Tuesday night at a bar, but then again they still had a DJ spinning and was in Broadway of SF, for $6 beers, $8-$10 shots, and $8-$10 mixed drinks is standard. But I can imagine this place being highly overpacked and getting really hot, stuffy, and sweaty on Friday and Saturday nights since it's pretty small. Had no more than 10 people on the dance floor when we were here. No real dress code since they let us wear hats, shorts, sneakers, jerseys, etc. when we came in.

Overall I usually have a fun time...I'd say once you've had a few drinks and have started dancing, you should have fun. They play good music, and the dance floors are spacious. A couple of things really irked me in the past thought: It gets ridonk hot downstairs after it starts filling up. They really need to work on their aircon, because its seriously a choice between hot and stuffy or freezing your ass off outside in the back. Also, one time I went to buy a couple of drinks and the bartender said it was a $60 minimum. This is complete bullshit...first of all I've paid for drinks here other times without this minimum, and more importantly businesses aren't allowed to impose minimum charges if they're gonna accept credit cards. I semi-understand hole-in-the-wall places that have a $5 minimum, but $60 is just crap. I would give this place 3 or 4 stars if it weren't for this, but it's really inexcusable. Not that it's hard to spend 60, its just bad service and you could tell the bartender was just being a douchebag. Teach our bartenders how to accept payment normally, 181!
