I love Drai's. It is hands down one of the best nightclubs in Los Angeles.  Make sure you look your best when you arrive at this Los Angeles hot spot.  If you are with a bunch of cute girls with hot outfits on, you do not have to worry about getting in or waiting in line.  I came here with a group of friends over my birthday weekend and all of us were wearing short mini-dresses and we just walked up to the bouncer and he let us in for free, no questions asked.  If you are not dressed up to the 9s, than I would go to another place or you will be waiting in line for a long time. This nightclub is at the top of the W Hollywood and is just fabulous.  There is a small dance floor inside with tables and then a pool outdoors with cabannas to rent.  From the outside, you can see the beautiful lights of Hollywood.  It is so relaxing to sit by the pool with a glass of champaign in hand.  The drinks are rather pricey (14 dollars and up), but if you don't pay to get in the club, the prices are okay. You are paying for the ambience.  This club really compares to a Vegas nightclub such as XS, on a much smaller scale. It's hard to go to any other night club now and be content after going to Drai's.  No other night club seems to compare.  I love this place, and I will definitely go back!!!! Oh and one other thing.  Don't try to park around here. Parking is difficult.  Although there are some lots which you can park in that will cost you $10 dollars or more for the night.  You could potentially valet at the W, but again that will cost you a pretty penny.

Went on a Thursday night which I believe is hospitality night if I'm not mistaken. I think there was a fair share of strippers in the house. I heard some guy say the Cheetah girls were on their way. Place was packed. I feel this club has a very flawed design. Everyone wants to dance by the bar which doesn't work well. The actual dance floor in back was empty. If they put the club dancers and fire girl in the dance area I think people would follow. It makes it hard to get a drink when some guy that can't dance is blocking your approach. Lots of clumsy drunks didn't help either. People are constantly bumping into you. If you can't deal with that type of atmosphere I would suggest going elsewhere. Heneikens were only $5 which was a plus, thought I would be paying $7 or $8. We got there at midnight and it was a $15 cover. I'd be willing to check it out again sometime.

Some of my friends always try and drag me to Vessel, but it sucks! I just wont go anymore. First the long list of good things about it. *Free coat check *Good music - which is why my friends want to go But here is what makes it a memorable experience: *Really dark so noone can see each other * Since noone can see each other and the music is SO loud its hard to move through the crowd, noone wants to move for you or talk to you. Everyone stays in their own little world with the couple of people they came with. "Fun". *There is NO escape from the loud music. At all. Its a stuffy underground room, you can either go to the bathroom or to the smoking room, which is... wow. *The smoking room is a tiny glass box next to the bar. No ventilation. Just people cramming into a hot room filled ENTIRELY of smoke. *Oh yeah and the few seats they do have are often reserved and have noone sitting in them for the majority of the night. If all your into is dancing to music in the dark with cool lights, then you'll probably like it. The music is great, but the loud beat of it is constant the entire time your there, your friends can hardly hear you when you yell in their ear and the crowd is cold and unfriendly - at least partly from the clubs flawed design.
