by Antonia Portera on Was there on 11/13/10 for a friend's Birthday. We have 10 people in our party. Dinner reservation at 8pm. Cabana with 2 bottles was also reserved. We were there on time. Waitress told us our table was not ready, and seated us at the cabana to wait. Ok, no big deal. We end up waiting for TWO FREAKIN HOURS! Didn't get the table until 10pm. Then we order, food came out 20min later, cold and taste like crap! For $30-$40 a plate, I expect much better, but its not even decent. After all that, then came the dinner bill. With the bad service we've just went through, and how bad the food tasted. They still try to pull a fast one on us by OVER CHARGING $90 for the NASTY food! In addition to the over charge, they also add on some bullshit charge called the "venue fee" of about $60. We've asked the waitress about the "venue fee" they have no answer, they don't even know what the heck is "venue fee" mean. We were there to celebrate, we expect to pay good money for the food, drinks, tax, gratitude, BUT WHAT THE F!CK IS VENUE FEE?! This place is so full of themselves, I'm not surprise they will come up with a "cooking your food" fee. FREAKIN RIDICULOUS! After the dinner, we went to our cabana, and again, that bill have "venue fee" as well. Our dinner table was only steps away from our cabana. HOW MANY FREAKIN TIME WE HAVE TO PAY "VENUE FEE"?! Isn't this the same freakin place, or in their term "venue"?! At the end of the night we've end up spending over $2,000.00 for 10 people. Dinner was about $900 and cabana with 2 bottles was about $1200. I don't mind spending, but don't like to get ROB. Never going back. Good luck to anyone who is going to try it.
by Rachel A. on What a disappointment. I went there for my friend's birthday after hearing this was a good spot for hip hop on Saturday nights. I'll give them that- the music was pretty decent, and I'm sure it varies by week depending on the dj's style. Drinks were decently priced, but not that great. The main issue was that the club was soo tight, I didn't even feel like I had enough room to dance. Every time I would start dancing, I'd have to move because some frat boy was coming through with his girlfriend/ drink.This, coupled with the fact that I got into an unnecessary confrontation with the bar owner last night, makes this place a no-go in my book. http://static1.px.rateclubs... if you are serious about hip hop/ r&b, go to Union Bar after 2am. __________________________________________________ _ Part 2 - I went there again for another friend's birthday and really liked it. The place is still madd tight but I guess if you're with the right crowd it's fun. Still very much a college bar.
by Rosario Bolado on I went with 8 other girls for a bachelorette party and boy do they know how to do it! We ordered their platinum package which included a pre fixe menu of 90 different dishes, ok exaggeration, more like 15. Yea ok I'll admit the food isn't the best, you can find better asian fusion at the mall food courts but we all know that's not why you go to Asia SF. It's all about the fascinating "girls". They're all hot and have smokin bodies but the fact that they're formerly men makes it so much fun. I think at the top of every hour 2-3 girls will come out and dance while lip synching to songs by Katy Perry, Etta James, and Pussycat Dolls. They're totally inappropriate but with a group of girls and some fruity mixed drinks, it's a load of fun. Our server, Fantasia, was a hoot and offered us great service, including a blow job shot between the boobage for our bride to be. LOVE IT! After our very long dinner and dessert we moved downstairs for some dancing and more tranny fun. This place is really fun for a group birthday and perfect for bachelorettes. You have to go just to say you've been.
