I've been here a few times and I've always had a great experience. I've never had an issue with getting in, sometimes the line can get long, but I never had to wait more than 30 mins, which is better than most clubs in LA. Since the venue's in the middle of business/commerce buildings, parking at night is a breeze (esp on the weekends). $5 parking. The drinks are pricey and not stiff at all, but this isn't the type of place I'd come to to get schwasted. The decor is rustic and awesome (old reconverted electricity co) and there's plenty of seating all around (none of this- you can't sit unless you have a table reserved and bottle service). The food's a bit pricey too but I definitely recommend the fries, mac and cheese, and calamari. I LOVE the whole concept of the roaring 20's and the silent films they show on the wall all around the venue. LOVE. I'm a huge jazz and swing fan and always daydream about living in that era. If only this place was less crowded, I'd come here more often just to listen to music, watch the silent films, and eat a nice meal.

HORRRRRRRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! HONESTLY I'd give this place -100 stars if I could..... I TOTALLY agree with the other rateclubsers who gave poor ratings...Never in my entire club going life have i experienced such rude attitudes. So last night was supposed to be my belated bday celebration with the ladies. We had dinner reservations here and was told by the promoter who so called "had us set" that we could have dinner and just hang around as the place warped into it's club like atmosphere.... Upon getting there around 9:20 ish (dinner reservations were for 9pm)....we were told by the rudest white woman in the world that because we were not there by 8:45 that our reservations were given away and that they would not allow us in. She explained that she told the promoters to call us to let us know this but we NEVER received any such call...As we tried to reason with her she stated that they have people who come in who pay thousands of dollars a night and that we would need to wait until 10 and come back to get in line. Wow REALLY? The way she spoke and her facial expressions reeked of that "better than thou/you're not good enough" attitude...The more she spoke the more her excuses began to not make any sense. We could tell that she was on a clipboard power-trip and really just did not want us there....Our happy moods which were set on a fun filled night were immediately switched to PISSED! But we kept our cool, didn't make a scene, and ended up having our birthday dinner at Baja Fresh across the street and would just go back at 10....... 10 o'clock comes....we walk back over only to be awaited by a mosh pit of desperate faces. As time passed by, the people who controlled the lines and held their mighty clipboards just kept pointing, moving ropes, walking in and out, and looked soooo confused and unorganized. Time continued to pass, and no one from the "mosh pit" was getting in.....the B**** with the clip board came up to us and we told her that we were on (whatever the promoter's name was) list and that there was 7 of us here now and that 3 more were coming....the B**** then says well "I don't do lists so I dont know if you're getting in" and"....and walks away....we text the promoter guy and he says he left and that he went to another bar...WTF!!??....So a fellow MOSH PITTIAN asks us how many of us there are and if we wanted to go in with his party. We agreed. Moooooore time goes by, and a male clip board holder asks the guy how many were in his party and when he pointed at who was with him, the B**** saw that he pointed at us and immediately whispered in the Male Clip Board Holder's ear behind the clipboard as she moved her glance to and away from us.....We know she told him something along the lines of her not wanting us to get in....OMG we were steaming...so many threats and insults were coming out under our breathes....LOL I mean, seriously what was the big deal??? We waited a bit longer (till about 11:45) and just realized that we wasted a big chunk of time on stupidity. Honestly, who would want to spend money in places like this?? We left!! Should have done so, MUCH earlier...why did we even go back there??? As we left we heard so many comments from the crowd of people who shared our saame feelings, "this is ridiculous", "Let's leave", "WTF"..... I WOULD NEVER go back here..... This is why people who live in La get such a bad rep.... MONEY IS the way in I guess, but just as others have said, how does one know how much money one has....is this only proven by spending 500 on bottle service, or maybe an investment in DDD breasts, fake tans, and blonde hair extensions??? I think not.....We, a group of savvy and and educated women should not have even succumbed to such a Shallow-Superficial-Riduculous-Belittling situation....I think we were just so shocked and blown away by the treatment we were given that we were just stuck until we came to our senses.... Needless to say we walked over to Highlands, our old stopping ground from years ago, where we were greeted with smiles, warmth, and hospitality. We got right in without paying, were given VIP wristbands for access to the back room (LOL), and laughed the night away... Now I'm usually a positive person, but after last night....I just have to let it out....THE TRUTH MUST BE TOLD .... AGAIN, -1,000,000 STARS for this H.WOOD!!!! That is...unless you want to spend thousands of dollars (as quoted by the B**** with the clipboard) so that you can seem/feel important.... Had we gotten in, i think our ratings would have been just as bad.. (WOW, this review was long....haha sorry guys...but take my word)

It's ok. Ok ok...there are are fights there on the regular and the bottom floor is stupid packed. But they play a good range of music usually. They did just renovate...BUT nothing durastic. They added a small room and half in the back that people can rent for VIP. I used to like it more before...but now...not so great. Only plus is that they're open till like 3 or 4a so for late (or early) partiers, its a good spot to hit up after another club.
