I would really like to give 1 or 2 stars for service and 4 or 5 for the venue. Someone standing at the door let us in early and the bouncer came down and yelled, I mean YELLED, at us like we were trying to sneak in for free. If I didn't want to see the band I would have left then...it was out of line. We finally get in after waiting and sat at a table. It took a while for someone to come, so we got drinks at the bar...something we deserved after being snapped at by bouncer...the server came and snapped at us for not ordering from him. WTH? The food is good, the venue is great and I will likely return because of this only...

OK I just got back from The Tavern at Phipps ordered the Carnegie Deli Pastrami sandwich! While the sandwich was stacked more than I expected, they used a slicer instead of cutting in by hand and the meat was very dry, unlike the real NYC Carnegie Deli the meat is fatty, juicy, overflowing with flavor and thick cut. The pickle was fresh. The service was good! The price expensive! One down 3 or 4 places to go.......looking for the best Pastrami sandwich Atlanta has to offer?

Boo! I have visited XIV on numerous occasions- it was absolutely wonderful the first few times, but I will never again go there after my last visit! I had met a couple friends on the patio for happy hour to have drinks, we stayed for dinner and had a few courses. Everything was going fine until an assistant manager asked us to move tables-during our meal! We were forced to move to a smaller booth so a group of scantily clad girls could enjoy the booth. The employees at the restaurant could see how upset my friends and I were and offered us free dessert. It was too late, we were already completely embarrassed and disgusted. I will never set foot in a trashy place like that again. By the way, if you do decide to go there, don't bother with any hing but the risotto or french fries on the vegetarian menu.
