I think this was the best club I went in Miami...beautiful people, great service and promoters,it's the Miami version of XS in Vegas. Guys I'm pretty much sure it's almost impossible to get in without getting bottle service but that's everywhere in Miami... I saw a lot of girls waiting in line, so girls you should either come very early or look hot.

I had been waiting the arrival of this place, but I had eagerly awaited the opening of Temple and well...look how that turned out:  a hot mess. My friend and I decided to head out to Infusion last Sat.  We took a cab over and before we even paid our fare, and exited the cab we spotted the line to get in.  Great!!  Fortunately someone at the front recognized my friend from wayyyyy back so we were immediately walked in after hugs were exchanged. The inside was super swank, but everything was super new.  Not too many people inside yet, and it was close to 11p which was interesting because...why the line??? Bartenders, the DJ and hosts were all super friendly and I think we have multiple pictures with all of them!  Ha ha...Drinks were a flowing, and were really cheap or gratis at each round (thanks!!).  All I know is I was buying rounds of shots for my newly turned 22 year old friends, and I came back home with over half of the money I set out with.   Ha ha...now that's what I call a good night regardless! A little more info about the space...there is a large room towards the back that plays house, and actually in the main room they were playing house as well.  Although when we first arrived they were playing hip hop.  I wish they would have kept on with the hip hop in at least one room, but oh well... The restrooms were nice, as well they should be since the place just opened.  Once you walk in there is a door to the left that opens to a few urinals and then there are individual stalls.  Yes, the famous hand dryers and towels, and a restroom attendant that sure did like to make his presence known!  I heard him knocking on the door as soon as I shut it behind me.  Hello...can a lady get situated??  Most of the lounge was reserved for the infamous table service but there was still plenty of room to dance, frolic and mingle. As for the crowd, well it was kind of all over the place.  I wouldn't make any assumptions as to what the crowd well be like in the future because it is so new.  Although Infusion's proximity/accessibility to the Powell St. BART station leaves me squirming... Let's hope this place won't get greedy like lots of other places do, and that they will still maintain some exclusivity...and if they do, that they still let my mess in cause I will most definitely be back!!!

Just got back from the ROCKIN' girl music fest "The Hotel Cafe Tour": http://www.rateclubs.com/ev... The venue is cozy, yet maintains an older rustic glamour at the same time.  Walk past the lit sign reminiscent of old Western saloons and enter the bronze intricate columns and rooftop.  Great acoustics and sound - I could hear every drum roll and guitar riff reverberating throughout the space.  My sister and I managed to snag a seat upstairs (waaaay up in the far back), which actually gave us a perfect view of the stage. Some things that ALMOST made this review a 3.5: - rude customer service person on the phone when I asked about the dinner - starving for half the time and scurrying around the damn place to order food like a mouse in a maze looking for cheese.  After my sister waited in line for about 20 minutes to order, the bar (upstairs) halted the food orders at 1/2 hour after the doors opened.  WTF?  Of course, the pre-dinner ticket holders got their food first.  Jerks. - After seeing random people with platefuls of food when my sister was just turned away, I stormed to the bar downstairs and discovered that THEY were accepting orders.  SERIOUS miscommunication of information. Tips: - get there EARLY to snag any chairs/tables to see the stage (all seating is upstairs) - if possible, pre-order dinner to get in earlier and to get reserved seating (jerks...if only I knew that for tonight) - park across the street at 1000 Van Ness Garage so you're not roaming around the TL at night - get a blue validation ticket (preferably a bit before the show ends to avoid a crowd) And finally... ENJOY the show. I know it's not a Hotel Cafe Tour review, but I gotta say that one of the BEST moments of the night was when funky girl Emily Wells - with her audio recorder/mixer and violin - gives a shout out to Biggie Smalls and reinterprets "Juicy."  I would never EVER expect a line up full of female indie rock artists to throw in the "fucking hip hop in here."  That rocks.
