by Jenn S. on Ok so I admit I really have only been inside one other Karaoke place (somewhere in Japantown) other than Pandora, but Pandora seriously puts the other place to shame. Pandora was clean, had great decor, full bar and great bottle service staff. I love the themed rooms! Service was great and I had an awesome time.
by Bernardo Lotter on Ok so this was the worst place iver Ever been to scince Ive moved to LA! I heard a lot of buzz as a good after hour spot for a techno club but no one mentioned that friday nights are 18+.... horrible! We paid a $25 cover at the door cause the bouncer told us there was a big surprise dj/act playing but clearly he had no intent to tell us it was an 18 and up night meaning the whole place was filled with high school kids rolling balls using their fake ids to gain entrance. No one looked to have hit puberty yet except the creepy foriegn guys hidding out on the sides of the dancefloor clearly looking to pick up anything that moved. yuck! Furthermore we decided to have a drink to spark a buzz before bouncing and the bartender poured us an all ice melted coke with no alcohol to be detected. what a joke. i know most people dont drink at a rave bar but damn this was rediculous!!!! we toured the place and wasnt impressed, so we left after a painful 30 minutes. next time were doing playhouse or van gaurd. I have NO plans to return here!!!
by Gerard Binstock on 2 stars Whenever we used to go to Ali Pasha's (now i think it's called Cossu), I used to see this place get packed, but never went there until last night w/ the party bus. Bouncers were all pretty nice to us, and the bartender made some good, strong drinks. Even the bathroom attendant was cool as hell.....just a few things didn't do it for me. The music was just ok. not bad, but I just wasn't feelin it that much last night. The fact that they make some of their staff wear shirts that say "Janitor" on it annoys me. The cloud of smoke I have to walk thru to get in/out is pretty damn annoying too. And the crowd isn't really diverse....so we definitely stood out. It seems like this is pretty much an all Asian club now (at least it was last night). The girls dancing on the bar were a good touch though, and a few of my friends really got to enjoy that. Not sure if we'll be back here, but you may wanna check it out at least once for a quick drink or two.
