Happy New Year Everyone! My first review of the new year and I'm very sad that it has to be a bad one. I really don't know if it was Sloane's fault or Synergy's. But this "newly renovated" space they were talking about wasn't really renovated. There dance floor was a huge warehouse looking place. With a bar to the left and some sofas to the right (bottle service only) There's a bathroom all the way to the front. NO SEAT COVERS IN THE STALLS! ughhh. not all girls piss standing up! with that being said, there was urine all over the seat. (I guess girls aren't so different from guys) On Sloane's event when you click there link it says: SLOANE 2011, New Year's Celebration with DJ Momentum * passed appetizers from 9pm-11pm (sponsored by The Pub BBQ and Tataki Sushi) * gift-bags sponsored by Red Bull and 944 Magazine (first 300 guests) * Midnight Champagne toast Let's go through this together: DJ Momentum has no damn momentum. In fact he has lack there of. His music was a mix of Top 40's, old school, country, everythingg anddd he would switch up the music ALLLL the time. I remember reading another review that said the same thing and I think we found the culprit. Not only was his choices in music crappy, he stopped the music SEVERAL times. "Technical difficulties" he says. Well fix it already so people can dance. it wasn't just a few seconds, it was for minutes. long long minutes of waiting awkwardly on the dance floor. Passed appetizers: true to their word, there were appetizers. BUT NOT from 9-11pm. more like 9-9:30pm. There was sushi like they said and that was about it. One girl walking around with one tray of sushi.  I didn't want any so it didn't bother me. Gift-Bags to the first 300 guest: more half truths and whole lies. Yes there were gift bags. No to the first 300 guest. More like 30? maybe even 20? I didn't see anyone with these until I went to coat check to get my jacket. My friends and I got there around 9-9:15pm. My friends did not get any gift bags when they were one of the first to get there. They were so early that they weren't even letting people in. Yeah, and no gift bags. I walked in about 10 minutes after them, and there was probably about 40 people in there before us. These mystery giftbags were no where to be seen. Midnight Champagne Toast: Okay, this was completely non-existent. Did people at the booths or the VIP area get any? because for the 100's of people who paid $25-$35 general admisson, we sure as fuck did not. Even after all this shenanigans, I still wasn't pissed. I was happy. I was with good company and with an amazing boyfriend. I was happy. New year. New outlook on life. AHHA but wait. 12:30AM some of my friends and I wanted to step outside to get some fresh air. There were ins and outs before so we didn't think we were going to have a problem. RIGHT when we step out, the bouncer tells us no more ins and outs. So we try to go back in and he stops us, saying that he just told us. Well mofo, you JUST told us when we were outside. next time tell us before we go out. Mind you, there is NO WHERE for anyone to sit except if you paid god knows how much for table service. We've been standing for 3 hours and my irritation level goes up. I tell him my friend is inside and since he wont let us back in, I need to go get her. So he says that one of us can go. I go back in to find out that my friend was on her way out.  I realize I had paid 3 dollars for coat check so I make my way over. And this is where I lose it. I'm in this crowd for a good 45 minutes. I could tell that they were having trouble finding people's jackets and I was calm for the first 10 minutes. My friends kept calling me to tell me that my friend was outside. I couldnt hear so I would text them that was trying to get my jacket. It was raining out so I felt really bad. making me even more agitated. I finally get to the front where I handed the girl my card. She's looking and looking and I can tell she's stressed out. I felt bad for a second then realized that their system fucking sucked and they lost a lot of people's jackets. Ace of hearts. That was my card. She pulls out a ace of hearts but it wasn't my jacket. I'm still at the front and this other girl looks at me and ask for my card, I said I gave it to the other girl and so she says to move to the other side. I moved and got pushed back to the back. holy fuck. im about to lose it. I'm thinking., "people are waiting for me outside in the rain and I'm here trying to get my fucking jacket". I yell to the girls that they suck and walk out. ---All in All--- I paid 25 bucks to go to a place where nothing is what they said it was going to be. Where the drinks were weaker that my niece's and nephew's apple juice. Where you pay 3 dollars to get you coat lost. Where music freakin blows. All in all: I'm never going back.

Everytime I go here there is always some typical characters: a) drunkass girl who wants to get in a fight with the bouncers. b) bouncers who wants to kick drunkass girl's ass out. c) men with shaven/ bald head + striped shirts I used to like this place because I could get free drinks from my friend who works there but I dunno, I think twice about stepping in there now.   I like the fact that the venue provides adequate space, there are two levels and they're very roomy to dance on. The decoration is very sparse and lackluster.  Bottle service area gets some kind of glowy floor, the rest of us peasants gets the concrete floor but whatever, it's probably full of puke everywhere. ***WAIT TIME for peasants who's on the employee's guest list: 10 mins ***WAIT TIME for peasant on general list: 20-30 minutes in the cold, with bouncers yelling at you on a saturday night
