by Risa Y. on note: This Review is for Opera and Crimson. The clubs are right next to each other and are often combined. I been coming to Opera + Crimson at least once or twice a month (Friday nights) for quite a long time now... As much as people say "Asian parties are wack~!" or "Can we do something other than Asian clubbing?!?" a lot of us keep going back to Opera + Cromson on Friday nights, because you know the promoters or you know a lot of people that goes there. I admit that I am one of those people that wish that I had somewhere else to go... but unless there's like a birthday party, or someone plans a Karaoke night, I usually end up going there. I want to review this place solely on the venue and the bar service and try very hard not to be bias by talking about the crowd or the guest list / line system. I actually really like the venue. They have an outside area with tables (for table services) including a bar outside for all the smokers. There are two decent sized dance floor (one on crimson side and the other on Opera side). The Decor of this place is pretty nice and I really like how they have a lot of bars so you never really have to wait that long to get a drink no matter how crowded it gets. The bartenders are usually very nice and very generous with the amount of alcohol they put in our drinks... of course it's expected with the amount of money we pay to buy drinks in Hollywood... The bathroom attendants are a little pushy with the tips... I've seen one that was going crazy, telling ppl to put some money in the money jar... They forcefully pump soap in your hand and give you paper towels after you wash your hands and you have to pay for that sh*t?? Uh yea... I always get drunk when I go to Opera+ Crimson and end up having a great time.
by Ignacio Dymek on My friend got a job here as a bartender and she had me come up their about a year ago. Since then, I been their a few more times and its really nice. Multiple bars so you dont have to wait too long for a drink. Nice sized dance floor to dance on. Good selection of music, but is it me or is it an asian club? I been their 3 or 4 times and its been mostly(about 85 - 90%) asians.
