by Anthony W. on I showed up a bit early for an event (upstairs) and had to wait so I asked someone to show me the downstairs. They were kind enough to oblige. It was really a cool venue. Even the downstairs had an upstairs. I was a bit confused about this from the other reviews and that's why I asked to see for myself. Anyway, if this place were to book some music I was interested in, I'd probably be there. I didn't try the food though. Maybe next time.
by Otis Fatheree on I came by here on the insistence of my friend. Being my attempt at senegalese cuisine, I really had no idea what to expect. I ended up getting the N'Dole as an entree, while we split the Plaintain appetizer. The plaintains were quite good, lightly fried on the outside, tender on the inside...how it should be. The N'Dole on the other hand was pretty mediocre. It was advertised to be spicy and was not spicy at all. In fact, I would say the entire entree was on the bland side. The lamb itself was not particularly tender slices of meat. On the other hand, my friend got the Cari Yap. I was able to get one piece of the lamb, which was far more juicy and tender than the lamb in the N'Dole. I also got a Banana Drop as a cocktail, and the fresh ginger is definitely a nice touch in a cocktail. Overall, there were some decent things that I would try it again (but not the N'Dole), but I would say I was rather lukewarm about the whole thing.
by Harold Toland on Yay I like this place. Came here on Saturday night 4th of July and it was so much fun. The group of people we were with made it 3x's as fun. 2 rooms to my knowledge. 1st room was hip-hop, not da latest and greatest but eh. Second room was where it was happening =) Spanish music all night! The group is a lil older which I like! Don't have to worry about drunken idiots but myself haha. And they ALL seem to know how to dance really well. Good place to come with a group of ppl that make da night a great night.
