by Ma Colantro on Lime is an interesting mix of people. I have gone for both dinner and for the epic Sunday brunch that everyone talks about. Dinner was pretty delicious except the service was rather terrible. The place was empty except for my table, but our waiter still managed to be completely distracted almost the entire time. He took our order and brought our food promptly, but after that it seemed he thought his work was done. He disappeared and went to hang out with his friends at another table. I think we must have waited for our bill for over 20 minutes before we asked a separate waiter if he could bring our bill. The food was decent for the price (although portions are small), but service was not up to par. Brunch was a blast. It's definitely got that ghetto fabulous vibe, and everyone comes to party. I didn't mind the volume of the music, I think it makes perfect sense with the party atmosphere. The food was a little iffy at times...I've definitely had better eggs benedict before. And I wouldn't bother paying a little extra for the pomegranate mimosa. If there isn't quite a few people drinking that at your table instead of the regular orange juice mimosa, they don't bother remembering to offer it to you. I would recommend trying to eat slow, because as soon as anyone notices you're done eating they kick you out of your table. And there is absolutely no room to relax in the lounge, you might as well just leave. Overall, Lime is a good kick in the pants but it's more about the experience and atmosphere rather than the food and service. I will probably go back for brunch again, and I encourage making a reservation!
by Giovanna Skweres on Having been married in the Warwick 2 years ago, we thought how fitting it would be to celebrate the anniversary in the fancy restaurant in the same hotel. It was great that they had a price-fix menu (3 courses for $35), but the food was only okay. It was fah-reezing! so I ordered the tomato soup to start (despite the 90 degree weather outside), which was pretty good, and he seemed to enjoy his salad, although it was just tomatoes onions and lettuce on a plate. My fish was way too salty, and then had little flavor beyond that. His steak was good, but had to send it back to cook more as it came out half medium, half rare. The sides were better, but that's not what we're coming to a place like this for, and I ended up munching on mostly bread to make up for it. The deserts were good, chocolate mousse pie and raspberry sorbet, but somehow I doubt those were made in house. And while our waiter was very good, we were also never offered a wine list. I may just not be cut out for fancy places like this that rest on reputation and an expensive cut of meat on a plate. Give me a neighborhood byob with fresh original ingredients anyday...
by M S. on Parking is cheap and available if you come early. Seems like a a younger crowd, college aged. Lots of cool games to play and a huge dance floor.
