I'll admit, from the outside this place looks like a swanky sports bar that would be full of douche bags, but it's really nice inside! I feel more like I'm at a lounge than a sports bar, and the service there is great! Our waitress was a sweetheart, and couldn't have done a better job. We ordered the Triple, which is tortilla chips with queso, salsa, and guacamole. Not mixed together, but separate so you can do what you will with them. I found it all to be pretty good. The cucumber-gin drink I had was refreshing and delicious! My boyfriend and I got incredibly similar dishes. They have a chicken fried steak and a chicken fried chicken, both with the same sides. We both really enjoyed our dinners. I especially loved the still-firm green beans, but that gravy is not to be unmentioned! This brings me to my gripe about Cover 3. The menu lacks diversity. It's a very small menu, and I'm not exactly sure what they are aiming for. I get that they are trying for a little bit of everything, but sometimes that makes for a harder decision making process. At least when you're as indecisive as I am! I'm sure we'll be back, and I'll have to ask if I can mix and match my sides next time.

I find it difficult to classify Concentrics restaurants...are they a genuine canvas for the artistic chef or just another chain? At ONE Midtown Kitchen, I can safely say that they are the former.  The food is a unique blend of tastes that requires you to think, "why would they put these items together?"  My appetizer was pasta carbonara and it was fantastic, the lamb pancetta was like a very good piece of bacon.  My entree was brisket served with cheese grits, corn salad, and watermelon (yes, watermelon!).  I was hesitant with the dish at first, and then I tried eating the watermelon and grits together, and it was a fantastic combination.  The texture of the grits mixed with the suppleness of the watermelon was a sensation I will try again when I get a chance.  I was constantly kept on my toes, eating at ONE Midtown Kitchen was like reading a cartoon in the "New Yorker" - you may not understand it but you still enjoy it. The food was excellent, and everything blended well together.  I felt that the kitchen was daring me to try more.  There were other items on the menu that makes me want to return.  Duck with jerk seasoning, Salmon with ruby grapefruit, pizza with peaches and prosciutto - a menu that demonstrates true thought and creativity. Finally, the atmosphere and service was excellent.  The waitress was very helpful...I highly suggest you ask them what do they suggest and they will give you a very detailed and thought provoking answer. I highly recommend this restaurant...but be prepared to think.

Typical glam night club. Hung out got drunk - got into VIP and was bored by 1am. spent another hour asleep upstairs on some couch at someone's table with bottle service. Second time - we had a decent time but the same thing - was ready to go after an hour. Good thing I didnt pay or wait to get in. Decor and setup was nice. This is really not my type of scene but if you are a party boy/girl this where you want to go to dance and drink.
