I have never dined here but I heard good things from a friend of mines. 1st floor you have people eating and talking /some dancing but if you want to rub elbows and swap spits go upstairs to the dance floor. The drinks can get ridiculously expensive even for NYC so try drinking somewhere else before coming out to The Park =) Pros: Nice layout and clean restrooms w/ bathroom attendants. No lines and some what of mix crowds. Cons: Pricey drinks ($14 small vodka w/ bull) not a all nighter-type would stay for 2hours to chill.
by Ro S. on Not. A. Fan. I came here with friends on a Friday night about a month ago. We had no problem getting in...we RSVP'd on the guest list earlier in the day through the website. $20 a person. Carne Asada, Pork, and Chicken tacos were the best part! Please tip the lovely guy who cooks them up. The ambience was ok. The crowd was pretty mixed which is cool. There was a random drum and dance show on the night I went. My issue? The DJ! He played music in genre chunks. Who does that?! House. Rock. R&B/Hip-Hop. Why would you do that? I go to nightclubs to, gee, I don't know, dance. Most of the music was lame. For $20 bucks, I only got to dance for what felt like 20 enjoyable minutes of music. $1 a minute is not my idea of fun, honestly. And he didn't even play the song I requested! I won't be back.
by Pearlene Depree on This was my second time at DNA lounge. Same event. The Bohemian Carnival was so awesome the first time we had to come back. Contortonists, trapeeze artists, bands of clowns, clown dj's, girls dressed as cats playing with yarn wearing nothing but electrical tape over their nipples and small panties, the whole evening screams sexy. seriously. you cant explain it till you have seen it. Gooferman is awesome. the crowd is the freakiest crowd youve ever been with. they are all clowns and performers too. Definitely a burning man environment, super friendly, costumed, with amazing music. My only complaint is the bathroom. No toilet seats on the toilets, even in the ladies room.
