by Mark D. on Pros: Great selection of meat alternative products, including standard brands like Boca, Quorn and Gardenburger, but several others not everybody carries, like Field Roast, Gardein, Vegetarian Plus, Tofurkey and Smart Life. Awesome beer cooler. Great wine selection, love the Under $10 table, have yet to grab a bottle at random and regret it.. The 6th Street Taco stand makes some pretty tasty breakfast tacos, not to mention some rocking veggie chorizo. Cons: Can't think of any at the moment..
by Vi Stahl on 1 negative star because of the music I have been going to Marquee every Tuesday since I moved to NYC and I absolutely love this place (I go with a promoter, so lines, getting in, fees, and drinks are never an issue)! The place itself is beautiful; great interior design and sound systems. The wait staff is excellent; last Tuesday I asked the waiter if he had any chocolate and within a minute I had a handful of candy! (Chocolate is very important to me!) The strawberries are always fresh too! Quick service; we never run out of vodka or juice/ice/etc. and table is always cleared quickly. My only compaints are: the music/DJ in the back room downstairs always sucks (althought I enjoy the main room); the stamp they put on your hands easily washes off and one night I couldn't get back in the room because my stamp was gone (of course I had my coat and purse- with cell- at the table...that was fun); the music is so loud that it's very difficult to talk and sometimes hurts my ears; and I'm not impressed by the bathroom attendant b/c the stalls always seem to be a mess. Overall I think it's a great place and one of my favorites; definately a once a week thing for me. The occasional celebrity doesn't hurt either; the other night we had a table next to Derek Jeter (hot!), Victoria Beckham, and Cassie. Fun place definately something to check out every once in a while.
