Also known as "Medousche" to some, this is the epicenter of the new wave YUPPIE social scene in Frisco. If you make less than $45,000 per anum, call San Francisco "Frisco" or work outside of the IT industry, then everyone else in there is better than you. That's okay though. As someone who fits into all of the above categories, I still managed to have a great time whenever I have been there. The rooftop affords a great view of the city for about two days a year when it is not too foggy. There are gorgeous women everywhere you look (a rarity in the Bay for sure) and you can avoid the horrible music by going to the top floor. Located on the Mission, Medjool is within walking distance of BART and crack dealers. Another cool thing is that apparently people live in the building where this night club is located. I was there celebrating a friend's birthday and we took a wrong turn trying to get to the roof and ended up meeting some Swedish people outside of their (apartment? hotel room?) in the building. they were very friendly, though they would not cook us dinner. San Francisco is by all means the quintessential example of the misery inherent in the human condition, but, medjool is one of the few places in this modern day Babylon good for some S#$%'S and giggles.

Pretty good venue--a bit packed but was manageable for movement. Food was expensive but the calamari was good. Wide variety of drinks (including blueberry martinis) seemed pretty good too. Oh yeah, and the live music was great...

you know, this place really isn't as bad as people say. yes, we had to wait in line for 20 minutes to get in and yes they lied about open bar from 10-11, but the venue is actually pretty nice inside. one way of telling how ghetto a club is by the types of cups they use (ie. blvd - lounge downtown that uses tiny, plastic cups). but at touch, they used quality, sturdy plexiglass type cups, which by the way is worth the $13 you spend per drink because the cups were huge. the only bad thing i would have to say about this place are the people. the crowd was pretty lame and pretty ugly. i went here with my boyfriend and a bunch of friends so i had fun, but if you're looking for a place with beautiful people, this isn't the place to go.
