by Derrick Callanan on Opera... oh Opera. I was here once again doing club promo stuff with a buddy. It was the Vivid 25th anniversary party. Ron Jeremy was there in the flesh... sweet. Anyway drinks were pretty costly, and don't forget the twenty dollar minimum on plastic. The one thing that threw me off about this place was the scene. The crowd was mixed, which is not a bad thing but people really weren't dancing. Maybe it was because of the porn stars roaming around. I will say though that the dj that evening was awesome, he spun a mix of everything. I am not a big "club head," but I can appreciate a good dj. I got bored around midnight and was pushing my buddy to get outta here. I probably will go back here at some point down the line but next time I will pregame like a madman.
by Sonny D. on Temple is sort'a Club Tao in Vegas replica, but not quite. The club is big,with 3 floors, with lots of room. Somehow, in our recent visit, I didn't like the music mix as much. Line wait is long (~30 mins avg) and the cover charge is high ($25). One tip (if you're staying at the W) is to get a referral from the concierge to be in the Guest List. You get to get in for free and thru the VIP line. --SD
