have been meaning to check out, especially after my professor (yup) recommended going here and spending all your time in the bathroom. the place was beyond beautiful - beautiful women, beautiful decor, beautiful view! bartenders were so unhelpful and borderline rude (probably because we weren't celebrities) but the experience of it all still made it fun.

Aight, so I'm primed after 2 manhattans, and I put on my awesomely hilarious/gaudy red silk/golden dragon shoes and head out clubbing on a wednesday....because seriously....sometimes its just stupid to wait for the weekend. I'm on the guestlist for infusion lounge, and LMFAO is going to show up and talk up being "in Miami bitch", so seriously, how can it be bad? Ooooh...let me tell you... So I get to the spot at about 10:45...there is a line...on a *wednesday*...whoa. I jump in the will call line, and comment to someone: "whoa, there is a freaking line on a *wednesday*?!". The guy retorts, "well, yeah...its cuz this place is so trendy". I'm immediatley more scared. To me trendy = axe bodyspray and frosted hair and pink shirt popped collar and screaming marina girls. But, I try to not panic. Maybe this dude doesn't handle his language with Vulcan-like precision (and if you haven't seen the new Star Trek yet, you *freaking should*). I get into the spot, and what do I see?! Spikey frosted hair, blue shirt popped collar, 3 clearly underage screaming marina girls, and eau de axe...and I've only made it 10 feet. Shit. Although my gut was telling me to run as fast as possible right then, I decided to be the eternal optimist, and pressed on. The DJ clearly had some talent, but was only spinning super lowest common denominator music. So, although I was bored with the song selection, its tough to prevent this booty from shakin' it at least a bit to a Journey dance mix. As I eyed around for a place to plop me and my itchin' feet, I realize there is *nowhere* to go in this retarded place. The main floor is about 60-70% VIP, thus leaving only 4 person wide aisleways to try and dance in. If you start to get jiggy, some fellow clubber or a bouncer will push you out of the way since there is just no other place to walk. I've honestly shat better floorplan layouts. LMFAO did a great job onstage...too bad you wouldn't know it from the crowd. About 5% of people there really wigged out and danced. About 1% tapped their toe. Everyone else stood as still as a rock. Maybe their were afraid of messing up their frosted hair? Or maybe the axe would wear off? And on top of all that, you still have screaming marina 15 year olds. Oh yeah, and now there is a couple ass humping me while they make out. I'd like to move, but I can't...because the floorplan is awful. My god. I can't fathom why anyone would ever waste their time here - its got an awful crowd, and a terrible layout...and I'm sure this would only get even worse on weekends when most of you are probably going there. I guess if you are one of those people that likes to pretend you are important and just be "seen" in one of those "cool spots" you could go here and hang out with your other douchebag brethren. If you're a cool kid (which I know you are!) you'll head on over to Mighty ( http://www.rateclubs.com/bi...) instead.

1984, Bondage-a-go-go, The Hunger... What do these have in common? Nothing at all, except there's a stripper cage in the front dance room that begs drunk people to use it. And boy, no matter if they're goth or skank, they use stripper cage as if it were their alcohol induced right of passage which ultimately leads to people like me pointing, laughing, and posting photos on Rateclub =P The two dance rooms and variety of theme nights makes Cat Club a great place to stop. Mind you, it's cash only and there may be a cover charge. There's a smoking "room" off to the side in the front area which is a nice touch. Music is good, but let's not kid ourselves on the DJ's.. Their transitions suck. LEARN TO SPIN, PEOPLE! Still, I love it. If you've got whims, each different theme night will provide welcome relief to a focused work day.
