Here's a review from an out-of-towner who ended up going here twice. I got the experience of a lull in the afternoon (practically had the place to myself), and during the Saturday night rush. Both times were great. During the day, I had the Beet Salad and it was delicious. Plus, the waitress was really nice and it was pretty darn affordable considering how much food I got. It was also quiet and a nice place to take a break from sight-seeing, do a little reading up on the city, maybe write a postcard or two. The big wood tables are very inviting and the decor was an interesting mix of old and new. Dug it. When I went back at night it was as if the place had completely transformed. Naturally, the only difference was that there was a night crowd and the music was blaring. It was still fun, the bartenders still attentive and friendly, the beer selection decent, and the atmosphere good. I think I prefer it a little quieter, but it seemed like a great place to hang out if you had a group of friends and table to call your own.

I heart the Frying Pan! In a weekday lunch sort of way... warm weather brings out the neighbors during lunch, and the Frying Pan is a great place to get some sun while getting some delicious, made to order lunch. I'm a fan of the hummus and grilled veggie wrap, the burger, the chicken wrap, the fries...all delicious with a side of "I need a beer to wash this down". On a weeknight or a weekend for that matter, the crowd turns rowdier and the music gets louder - but the food is just as great, and the breeze on a hot summer's day just as inviting - Just make sure to get some sunblock on those arms if you plan on being on the Pan for more than 10 minutes! PS: Cash only !!

I'm giving 4 stars to Mojito Sundays at Wish 26. It's hosted by Mike P, an instructor at my salsa school. There's no line and you pay a small fee of $5. The salsa is great on Sunday nights - they mix in just the right amount of Reggaeton and Bachata to allow people to cool down cuz it's a frenzy in there when the salsa gets going. The crowd is young, with alot of great dancers with unique flare. I love a place where people go to dance!
