by Traci Mcphatter on Some friends and I just happened to be walking by when we ran into a promoter for Ecco. He gave us a VIP bracelet to get into this place. Then he told us there was a $10 cover. That didn't seem like VIP, but a $10 cover in Hollywood is basically free. So, we said what the heck...lets do this. The sale was that Richard Vision was spinning. There wasn't a long line and before we knew it, we were inside. Sooooo....as we got inside around 11, it was pretty DEAD! I think there were 15 - 20 people inside. YIKES! lol The place is very small and needs to be updated. That didn't matter to us, because the cup was half full and we always see the potential. We've had some of our best nights start this same way. Anyway, there were plenty of bartenders that were serving us some mixed drinks...LA Water - $14...Vodka Soda - $12...the place was very busy by midnight....bartenders were cool and attentive....this place also serves food til late....mixed crowd of all ages.... To sum it up, we had a great time meeting lots of new people... There are several places to grab a bite to eat once you leave the place. This isn't gonna make my top 10 list for Hollywood, but we did make some great memories here. :)
by Vang H. on My boyfriend has been raving about this place since we first met and I thought I'd comply a couple of weeks ago. Great decision as I was not disappointed in any aspect. Everyone there was extremely nice and our server was a delight. The owners did come out to greet us and though it doesn't impact the rating, it was an added bonus as it was a full house. Now, to the important part: the food. We did the five course tasting which was a combination of the plethora of different dishes from the classic menu. I won't list the whole menu (mainly because I don't remember ^_^ ), but each dish was cooked to perfection- the mushroom infused risotto (I could have made a meal out of just this), duck, pork belly, and scallop. Oh, we were served banana fritters over some type of cream, topped with candied bacon. I was a bit shocked by the topping, but I was again surprised. Every single bite (and sip) was bursting with flavor and as I'm typing this at 9:30 AM, my taste buds are starting to salivate and will be paying this place another visit! The chef and sous chef did an amazing job; def in my top 3!
by Trina Ceaser on Fast service, cool board games, and a great cover band. It's a primarily Asian club, with a few hot white boys to dance with. I must of looked like my friend's white girl hooker because I was getting looks all around. Two stars off for having the security guard grope me and trying to get on me as I was with my friends. Eew...still creepy to think about.
