by Tara L. on The drink specials are great. Who can beat $1 beers on Sunday or $5 Mexican Martini's on Monday? The bar staff is super friendly and hospitable and very efficient. The food is good but it's sometimes hit or miss. I like to go with the specials b/c they boast some talented kitchen staff. The wait is usually pretty daunting on weekends or during the best drink specials but if you hang out in the bar you can get to know the friendly staff and cut down on your wait time quite a bit.
by Ricardo Budhram on If this was any other bar in Hollywood I'd give it 2 stars maybe even 1 star. So why the 4 stars? One reason, and only one reason. That reason is The Spazmatics!!!!!!!!!!!! They are so fun and entertaining to watch that they pull a 1-2 up to a 4. Every Sunday night they play here and put on a fantastic show that makes you laugh and dance. They are funny and actually sound pretty darn good for an 80's top 40/new wave cover band. Definitely worth the drive and the $10 to get in. What isn't worth it for me is the parking (my friend's car got broken into while parked down the street one time), drink prices (about average) but still high for a casual drinker like me and the big muscle greasy guys that walk around with their chest puffed out thinking that thats the right formula to pick up chicks but instead creep them out and me out by standing awkwardly close to my group of friends when there is SO much space everywhere else. Bottom line is to just come Sunday nights for the great live show. Maybe pre-game it or a little car bar action. Once there people watch a little its pretty funny (esp. the over zealous people at the base of the stage or the lead singer humping and sucking a girls toes). Otherwise you'll have to drive to Club Sachi in Long Beach Saturday nights to catch the Spaz.
