by mickey d. on So I came with about a party of 10 people on a Saturday night, it was a girlfriends birthday and we definitely had a great time. First sign up for the guest-list! only $5 to get in before 11..... I got there at about 10:45, wait was about 10 minutes..... The lady found my name on the guest-list, and unfortunately my friend did not sign up for guest-list, so i asked the lady if i can bring a guest in for the same price, and she was nice enough to charge her $5 too..... I really like the decor in this place, very Vegas like......There is sooo much places to sit, chill and enjoy your drink and talk with friends...overall very nice decor .except the hip hop room in the basement is very dark and i couldn't really see anything there, but anyways i spent the majority of the night upstairs in the house room...... This night was great.... There was plenty of people but i was still able to dance to my house music just the way I like too, loud and unreserved.! At one point they fill the room with fog and white lights...you can barely see anything in front of you.. I loved it! Another great thing about this place is the amount of bars they have.....4 bars in total.... I never waited more then 1 min to order my drink. The bartenders are very cool and the security is too.... My two friends decided to sit in a "reserved" booth in the upstairs white/house room and they stayed there all night making out lol I just kept dancing in front of that table, and i noticed security looking at them but they never said, 'leave or get up'..... they let them chill there all night which was pretty cool.... Anyways if you like house/trance, like to drink, like to dance, and don't like to squish your way through crowds, GO TO TEMPLE, and worship the dancing god, you wont regret it!
by Dwayne Chimilio on We were here on a Saturday night. It was fun, however the music on the dance floor was seriously outdated. The drinks were cheap and the staff was nice. Good place to socialize with your str8 friends but I don't think I would really go seek this place out if it was my choice.
by Ike Orender on When I feel like getting a lil' loose but don't feel like wandering too far from Harlem Jake's Dilemma always serves my needs. With decent drink specials everyday and several of my favorite beers on tap Jake's D has everything the immortal college student in me loves. It has all the classic trimmings of a college bar like a pool table, buck hunter, two beer pong tables and foosball. This keeps my drunken half and all the "woo girls" happy and coming back for more. Come here only if you want to get a little sloppy and you absolutely don't give a flying eff whether yuppies and frat types are surrounding you. Check out the back which is a makeshift den complete with old ten cent hardcovers I am sure the library didn't want and pleather couches.
