by Angelica P. on Good music. The usual hip-hop club music. I'd recommend this place for bottle service but not for general admission. You can also dance on top of the tables here. Love it! Someone stole our bottle so we were pissed! Luckily, the nice people gave us a new one. =) Way too crowded unless you're at a table. The shape of this club is a little weird. It's L-shaped. It has its off-days sometimes.
by Wendell Plowden on I've been wanting to go check out Slide for awhile, I mean they have an actual slide in the club which sounds so awesome. But no. Slide is a shady club. Went there w/ a group last weekend for a couple birthdays. Granted, we did have quite a large group but I called, e-mailed, and checked online to see if there was a guestlist requirement or cover charge. I found nothing. I checked on their website, on the dj's website, and on the go-go dancers website (dancing that night) Nothing. We get there and the bouncer starts checking our group's ID's and stamping our wrists, he doesn't mention a guestlist. Then he realizes we are all together, stops and asks, how many of you are there? I innocently (and now that I think of it, stupidly) say "14." HUGE mistake on my part : ( The bouncer then turns away for a few minutes to talk in deep hushed tones w/ another guy, turns back and says "I can't let you in if you're not on the guest list or haven't reserved a table?" Are you F*ing kidding me? LIES. He clearly only said that b/c we were such a large group (at which point we almost took a walk around the block and were prepared to come back in smaller groups.) We even had an even number of guys and girls so as not to mess up their precious ratio. Even between the group of us we weren't willing to throw down for 2 mother f*in tables (they demanded at least 2 tables) so we went to VESSEL instead where cover was only $20, the bday peeps got in for free, we had no problem getting drinks at the bar, it was AC (despite the basement setting), and we had a blast dancing. Take that Slide, its your loss.
