I used to frequent Lotus lounge and unfortunatly Tounge & Groove is No Match. The 3M vodka event was a hit ( shout out to groupon). However the guards, staff need not be so bias aganist straight people I have no problem partying with all races, and sexual flavors . . . I guess if your shirt ain't super tight v necks and tight ass skinny jeans ( like the bartenders) u ain't gettin in Tounge & Groove! WTF ! The only problem was my mans shirt was not tight enough! But there were baggy tshirts and jeans everywhere ! Sum Cali peeps right off the plane with jeans flip flops carry on & all ! Booo move for staff! I left event with No Man ! Gots to be more carefull where u party!

So I went to the grand re-opening of the Gold Room. First they had these big Russian long black wool coat wearing guards out front. The young lady at the front was actually very nice. I could hear loud music people talking and things of that nature. It was alot of peope I mean alot and not really my vibe of people either. There was a circus theme and ballerinas danceing throughout the club. There is an upstairs and downstairs plenty of bars. Everything is black even the toilets. There is barely a dance floor. The longer I stayed and looked around I saw Frank Ski, a very cute news ancher that I always thought what type of women he goes after . . . . I got my answer that night. A detective I've seen on the news. I think I saw Michael Knight, Faizon Love, and an Atlanta DJ. And ppl with money. I mean its like one of those clubs where you see in the movie its like three different stories going on and one includes someone on drugs and everything to them is moving in slow motion cuz they are so hyped up! I saw all types of groups come through there it was really interesting. If I go again, I'm not paying . . . , I didnt pay the first time. And it wouldn't be on purpose. Its ok, just not my scene.

Reading over some of the reviews for Marquee, they all pretty much say the same thing. Good music both upstairs (hip-hop) and downstairs (top hits), good service, and good atmosphere. It is tough to get in if you're a guy, but it is easier if you're with a bunch of girls. From my experience there, Marquee makes most of their money from selling tables. A table includes a liter bottle of liquor, ice, and unlimited mixers. If you don't get a table, there is a $20 cover charge but that wasnt going to happen since i was with five other guys and two girls (on my friends bday). By doing this, Marquee never got too packed to show your stuff on the dance floor. Overall, it's a cool place but be prepared to spend some money if you're a guy. -Khemara
