I came here on a Tuesday night, and my friends (who frequent this place often), told me it was one of the busiest night he has seen! I think they told me it's called "Industry Tuesdays." It was pretty crowded, but their "dance floor" was quite empty. The dance floor was really small--imagine if 20 people linked arms around the perimeter of the dance floor. Yeah, that's how small it is. Mostly everyone huddled themselves up around the bar, which is totally fine and made it a much more laid-back type of night. There were also a couch on the side of the narrow walkway that extends from when you first walk in to where it opens up to the dance floor. The crowd was pretty ghetto-fab. I mean, hoop earrings, apple bottom jeans, sequin bling-blang hoodie jacket on guy, du rag, etc. etc. But I still had fun kicking it back with my friends, so bonus points for that. But over all, I was pretty disappointed by this place. They want to make it into a loungey type of place, but it really is not. If it's a bar, keep it a bar with a small dance floor, but advertising it as a club-ey type of place really doesn't cut it. My favorite thing about that night--amazing DJ and great music! I was told by my friend that he is/was a radio DJ and pretty famous. Sorry, I didn't catch the name. Parking was really easy to find--I found it right outside of the place and there were a few spots free around me. Perhaps because it was a Thursday night? Not sure about the other nights though.

Another club just round the corner from hotspot- 1Oak. We got in with on a Sat. night with ease... ; ) It seems easy to get in if you just have another person with you and not a big group. Drinks were again expensive but worth it for the fancy crowd and atmosphere. Pretty cool music and I really liked how it was 2 stories. Beautiful, well-decorated club!

The food at STK was great from the appetizers (Lil Mac sliders) to the entree (steak...yum! and sides double yum).  Dessert was decent...not great but decent. The decor is VERY trendy and typical of the meatpacking district. My only gripe about the seating was that they tried to pack everyone in like a pack of cattle.  It is very tight and you're pratically sitting very close to the table next to you. Bartenders are courteous.  The bar area gets super crowded later into the nite. The crowd.....VERY pretentious.  Ya know what i mean people... It definitely got louder over the course of dinner.  We showed up at 7PM and by the time we left (around 11PM), we could hardly hear ourselves thinking.
