by Jessica W. on Went here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. LOVE the patio seating. I got the Silk City Scramble (or something). It was really really good. Chorizo, guacamole, Poblanos, Salsa? I couldn't tell you everything that was in it, but it was really good. Their brunch menu had just a few drinks but they all looked pretty good. Pretty standard beers on tap, stuff you'd probably find at any other bar/restaurant in Northern Liberties. I'll definitely be back for some dinner!
by Kathrine Diewold on How could I have waited this long to review Martuni's. I love this place. When I was still on MySpace, Martuni's topped out my top 8. This bar is like walking into a sitcom. There's the heavy wise-cracking daddy, the young A student young son (Tommy, sweetheart), sister who wants to be a singer (whatever Ricki Lake-esque lady is at the piano), and crotchety, lovable old uncle Skip. The crowd supplies a great laugh track any night of the week! So here's the deal. It's dark and fairly moody. They try to mix up wonderful Martini concoctions and succeed 80% of the time. On any given weekend-night there will be a mediocre lounge singer who will shamelessly beg for tips and let you sing your own horrid rendition of "Feelings" (for a price). But they occasionally mix it up with really talented live music, like ever-tempting-local-musician Daniel Owens! plugged. It's pretty hard to come here and not have fun. P.S. All the drinks are doubles!
