i went here for a rateclubs elite party (yes i know there's a separate review for that). you know what that means, FREE EVERYTHING. did u know free is my favorite word in the dictionary. but since i'm not writing a review of that particular party but rather the lounge itself, we'll move on. this place is definitely the most unique lounge in the city. it has carnival games from dunk tank, to throwing the loop over bottles, ping pong balls in fish bowls, that hammer thing you hit (which is so damn heavy), knocking milk bottles off the shelf and shooting the stars off a paper with 99 rounds. i apologize for not knowing the actual name of the games but u know what i'm talking about. its all ticket based, u get 10 tickets for $10. The tickets get cheaper the more you buy. Games costs 2,4 or 7 tickets depending on how many tries you want to win prizes. prizes consist of the typical carnival ones, oversized to little stuffed animals. There is a nice area to lounge and a full bar to complement that. There's also a fun house, where there's a dancefloor and couches to sit in. oh, and there's no cover. unique right? no? shut up, what do you know.

I went here for the first time last night and was really impressed with the quality of the food. As "Miss S" already mentioned, it is an odd dining room. It looks as if somebody decided to turn their 1 bedroom apartment into a restaurant (the kitchen is downstairs, just seating upstairs). The tables are small and it feels a bit cramped, but at least the decor is pleasant. Anyway, back to the food. We had their hummus appetizer which was absolutely delicious. I'd go back just for that alone. I also had the salmon which had a crispy outside and great citrus topping. I'd definitely recommend it. My wife had the gnocchi and one of their salads (it had figs, walnuts and gorgonzola). The salad a nice size and was very fresh and tasty. The gnocchi was pretty good, but was a tad on the under-seasoned side. We also had 2 different chocolate deserts. My wife had the raspberry mud cake and I had the flour-less chocolate cake. I didn't care too much for my tobacco-infused ice cream, but the cake was good. I thought my wife's dessert was better overall. Adding 1 glass of wine and 1 beer to our order, the total price was $60. I'd say that was very reasonable given the quality of the food. UPDATE: I've lowered my review from 4 to 3 stars. I've been back to TopFlr a few times since my initial review and I've noticed that the dishes are not consitently good. One night the salmon was fantastic, another night just so-so. Same with side dishes like mac-n-cheese. One time it was great another time it was almost flavorless.
