by Audrey L. on The first time I attempted to go here I was misinformed by an employee that it was free before a certain time. Annoyed with the bouncer when there was no line, my girlfriends and I left and got in free somewhere else. Now I understand why there's a $20 cover charge. It keeps the riff raff out and maintains the quality of the club. This time there was a table reservation fiasco (long story) due to my guests so we ended up in line and not on the guest list. Apparently the list "sells out" quickly so you might as well be on it 2-3 days ahead. Geez. I see this venue as events-heavy. With the cover it's not a weekly thing. Alas it wasn't bad standing in line at 10:15 on Saturday. We waited maybe 30-45 minutes. With a good group of friends and conversation, time flies. No one was rude. As a 'veteran clubber' aka old lady I hardly ever go anymore especially Hollywood. Boulevard3 is a relief. Good mix of people in terms of ethnicity, age, and size. No one was sleazy or gross. Eat your worth in free tacos. They are actually really good. That night there wasn't fondue though =( Lots of seating. Even the railing around the fireplace inside was padded for you to sit. I loved the music. For a dancer, a bad DJ is the number one buzzkill. Music is great here because there are real dancers on stage. Loved the girls on the poles. You can hear the same music in the restrooms and outside. I wasn't rolling or anything but for some reason the lighting was very pleasant. My champagne came with a strawberry. We had a sweet bartendress at the small bar in front of the pole near the fireplace. I believe the men paid about $10 a drink. My only gripe is that there were so many steps and stairs here! Hard to walk in heels in the dark with a buzz. Tables start at $350. Try street parking before valet.
by Bryce Polashek on I LOVE Blake's on the Park! It's the gay bar version of cheers. I've been every day of the week and always had a great time. Recently the crowd has changed to a younger group, but it's still fun. The staff is super great and so are the drinks. I definitely recommend checking this place out.
